Check if your device is compatible
Apple Pay is available on the iPhone SE (2nd generation), 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, Xs, Xs Max, XR, X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, and 7 Plus. Apple Pay is also available on the iPad Pro (11-inch), iPad Air (3rd generation), iPad mini (5th generation), and iPod touch (7th generation).

Check if you have the latest iOS update

– Find out if your bank offers Apple Pay.
– Verify that your device is signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID and that Find My iPhone is turned on.

Do you have enough money in your account?
Just like with any other card, you need to make sure you have enough money in your account to cover the purchase. If you’re using a debit card, this means making sure there’s enough money in the account linked to your card. Have you reached your daily spending limit?
Depending on your bank, you might have a daily spending limit for contactless payments. This is usually different from the ATM withdrawal limit. If you’ve reached your limit, you’ll need to pay another way or wait until the next day to try again.
