Check your internet connection
The first thing you should do if apple id is not working is to check your internet connection. If you are using a public Wi-Fi network, try to connect to a different one. If you are using a cellular data connection, make sure that it is turned on and that you have enough data.
If your internet connection is fine, the next thing you should do is to check if there are any problems with apple id account. You can do this by going to appleid.apple.com in your web browser and trying to sign in. If you see a message that says “apple id is disabled,” follow the instructions on the screen to unlock your account.
Check if apple id is locked
apple id might be locked for security reasons. To unlock your Apple ID, enter the information below and then click Continue. If you can’t unlock your Apple ID, you can reset it.
If you use two-factor authentication, you need a trusted device or trusted phone number to reset your password and unlock your account. If you can’t remember your password, recover it using one of these methods:
-Use an iOS device that’s already signed in to iCloud: Go to Settings > [your name], and tap Password & Security. Tap Change Password, enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm it.
-Use a trusted device or phone number: Reset your password with Apple Support.
-Get help from someone in your organization: If you have an Apple Developer account or are enrolled in an enterprise program, contact your administrator for help.
Check if you have two-factor authentication enabled
If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Apple ID, you need to provide both your password and a six-digit verification code to sign in. If you don’t have two-factor authentication enabled, you only need to enter your password.
To get a verification code, you can use either an authentication app or SMS. If you don’t have a trusted device handy, you can also ask for a verification code from Apple.
If you’re using an authentication app, make sure that the code on your device matches the one that’s being requested. If it doesn’t, tap “Try another way to get the code” or “Try another method.”
If you’re using SMS, make sure that the number that’s being requested is the same as the one that’s associated with your Apple ID.
If neither of these options is working for you, you might not be signed in to iCloud on an eligible device. To sign in to iCloud, go to Settings > [your name], and tap Sign In.
Check if you’re using the correct Apple ID
If you can’t sign in with your Apple ID, you might have used the wrong one to sign up for an Apple service, such as the App Store, iTunes Store, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, or Game Center. If so, use that Apple ID and password to sign in.
If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it using these steps:
-Go to iforgot.apple.com.
-Enter your Apple ID and click Continue.
-Choose how you want to reset your password and click Continue.
-Follow the instructions on the next page to reset your password.
Check if your Apple ID is suspended
If you see a message that your Apple ID has been disabled or your account is suspended, it might be because of activity that doesn’t comply with the App Store Terms and Conditions or our Service Terms. For example, if you created an Apple ID to buy content from the App Store but were using a different account to sign in to your iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendar, that might have led to the disablement of your Apple ID.
If your Apple ID is disabled or suspended, you won’t be able to sign in to any Apple services. Before you can sign in again, contact us so we can verify your identity and make sure that no one has unauthorized access to your account. We might need some information from you and an explanation of what happened before we can enable your account.
If you’ve authorized too many computers for Apple Music, iCloud, iTunes, or the App Store, you might see a message that says “This device is no longer eligible for creating new apple id ” This means that you have reached the limit of authorized computers for your Apple ID. To add a new device or computer to your account, first deauthorize one of the existing ones.
