If you find yourself in this situation, don’t worry, there are a few things you can do to recover your password. In this article, we’ll show you how to reset your Apple Watch password and how to prevent forgetting it in the future.
Use a passcode
If you use a passcode, you will need to enter it every time you put on your Apple Watch. If you have an alphanumeric passcode, you will need to enter it when prompted. If you have a numeric passcode, you will need to hold down the side button and then enter your passcode when prompted.
You can also use a longer passcode if you want to, which can be up to eight characters. To do this, go to the Settings app on your iPhone, tap Passcode, and then tap Change Passcode.
If you enter your passcode incorrectly too many times, your Apple Watch will be disabled. To reenable it, you will need to enter your iPhone’s passcode.
Use Touch ID or Face ID

If you’re prompted for a passcode, enter it. If you don’t see the passcode screen, continue holding the bottom of the watch face until you see it.
If you don’t have an Apple Watch with Touch ID or Face ID, or if you can’t use it for some reason, you can enter your passcode on your iPhone:
1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap Passcode. If you’re asked for a passcode, enter it.
3. Tap Unlock with Passcode, then tap Use Passcode on iPhone.
4. Enter your passcode to unlock your watch.
