Why Apple switched from Helvetica Neue to San Francisco

And finally, Apple felt that San Francisco was more “modern” and “friendly” than Helvetica Neue.
San Francisco is a humanist sans serif typeface that was designed by Apple specifically for use on screens. It includes 12 different styles (including light, regular, semibold, bold, and heavy weights) and supports over 100 different languages. It’s optimised for use on Retina displays and comes bundled with all versions of macOS since El Capitan (10.11).
