Apple’s Limited Warranty
Apple offers a limited warranty for its products. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in apple products for one year from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, or modification of the product.
Apple’s Limited Warranty for Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod, Watch, and AppleTV covers your product and accessories against manufacturing defects for one year from the date you bought them. The AppleCare+ extended warranty plan provides up to two years of additional coverage and support options.
Under Apple’s Limited Warranty and AppleCare+, we will:
– remedy defects in materials or workmanship
– provide support forsoftware and applications that come with your product*
– provide replacement parts and labor for products suffering from qualifies manufacturing defects
– repair won’t affect or void other manufacturer warranties
What isn’t covered
The following aren’t covered under our warranty or AppleCare+ plans:
– Personally engraved products
– damage caused by force majeure events
– damage caused by operating your product outside Apple’s published guidelines
– increased battery capacity due to normal aging of the lithium-ion battery
Products with an expiration date such as food items are also not covered.
To be eligible for AppleCare coverage, purchase your Apple device within the AppleCare+ window (generally within 60 days of purchase).
As soon as Sign up for AppleCare+, we extend your coverage to two years from your AppleCare+ purchase date and add up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $299 for other repairable damage.
AppleCare+ is an extended warranty offered by Apple that provides additional coverage for your iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Mac. It includes up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage, or $29 for any other damage. In addition, AppleCare+ provides 24/7 technical support and coverage for hardware repairs.
AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from your AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $39 for screen damage, or $129 for any other repair, plus applicable tax. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone.
AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from your AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $29 for screen damage, or $99 for any other damage, plus applicable tax. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone.1
AppleCare+ must be purchased within 60 days of the date you buy your new iPhone. Coverage begins on your AppleCare+ purchase date.
Your iPhone must be in its original condition and work with the current iOS software in order for you to add AppleCare+.
Apple’s Extended Warranty
Apple offers an extended warranty for its products, which covers manufacturing defects and problems with the hardware. The extended warranty does not cover software issues, and it is not available for all products. Let’s take a closer look at what Apple’s extended warranty covers.
If you have an AppleCare+ plan, you can use it to cover eligible hardware repairs and service. You can also use it for certain software support incidents. If you don’t have an AppleCare+ plan, you’ll pay the out-of-warranty fee for each repair or service.
AppleCare+ plans provide coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage from handling. Each incident is subject to a service fee or deductible, as shown below. If you don’t have an AppleCare+ plan, you’ll pay the out-of-warranty fee for each repair.
Your AppleCare+ plan covers the following:
-Your eligible iPhone, iPad, iPod, or display
-AirPods and AirPods Pro
-Cables and connectors
-Apple Watch magnetic charging cable
-Apps and services that come with your device
Software support incidents are covered under AppleCare+ plans only when purchased with an eligible device or within 60 days of the device purchase date. Each incident has a service fee or deductible as shown below. Only one incident is covered per plan per device. Hardware coverage may be declined in some countries if the customer also purchases third party insurance when they buy their new device.
AppleCare+ for iPhone is available to purchase within 60 days of your iPhone purchase.
AppleCare+ must be bought within 30 days of purchasing an eligible Mac,apple tv or iPad model, or else coverage is void.
You also have only 60 days to enroll in AppleCare+ after you’ve already bought an eligible device.
