Apple’s limited warranty covers your iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Mac against manufacturing defects for one year from the date you bought your product. The warranty is extended to two years with AppleCare+. Coverage includes Apple-branded accessories that come in the box with your product, as well as batteries.

– using the iPhone in a way that is not intended by Apple (for example, using the iPhone as a diving watch);
– using the iPhone in a way that is harmful to the device (for example, using the iPhone in a way that could damage the screen);
– exposing the iPhone to extreme temperatures (for example, leaving the iPhone in a car on a hot day); or
– exposing the iPhone to water or other liquids (for example, dropping the iPhone in a puddle).

If your iPhone sustains any of this type of damage, you will need to have it repaired or replaced at your own expense.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, or unauthorized modification. Furthermore, it does not cover damage caused by service performed by anyone other than Apple or an AASP.

Apple may refuse warranty service if any of the following conditions are true:
– Apple determines that the product has been misuse / tampered with
serial number or the identification markings have been removed or defaced from the product
– The product is not eligible for coverage under the terms and conditions of Apple’s warranty or extended service contract
– The purchase price was not paid in full
