How to Set Up Your Apple ID

Your Apple ID is the account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iCloud, iTunes, the Apple Store, iMessage, Apple Music, and more. It includes the email address and password that you use to sign in, as well as all the contact information, payment information, and security details that you use across Apple services. You can use your Apple ID to sign in to Apple services, make purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and Apple Books, and more.

Go to appleid.apple.com

Go to appleid.apple.com and click “Create your Apple ID.” Enter your birthday and name. Choose the option to use your current email address or create a new iCloud address. If you use your current email address, you can still use it as an alias to sign in to your Apple ID account page.

Enter a strong password and select three security questions. Apple will use these questions to verify your identity if you forget your password or lose access to your account.

Click Continue, then review the Terms and Conditions. If you agree, click the box next to “I have read and agree to these terms and conditions.” Click Continue, then enter the verification code that was sent to your email address or phone number.

Click “Create Your Apple ID”

Creating an Apple ID is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. start go to Apple’s website and click the “Create Your Apple ID” button.

On the next page, you’ll be asked to enter your name, date of birth, email address, and choose a password. Once you’ve entered all of the required information, click the “Continue” button.

On the following page, you’ll be asked to verify your email address. To do so, simply open the email that was sent to the address you provided and click on the verification link. Once your email address has been verified, you’ll be taken to a page where you can set up security questions and answers.

After you’ve set up your security questions, you’ll be asked to agree to Apple’s terms and conditions. Once you’ve read and agreed to these terms, click the “Create Apple ID” button. And that’s it! You now have an Apple ID that you can use to sign in to iCloud, iTunes, and more.

Enter your name, birthday, and email address

After you enter your name, tap Continue. If you can’t tap Continue, check that the information you entered is correct.

Enter your birthday, then tap Continue. If you don’t see the month or day, tap the year, then tap the month or day.

Create apple id password then enter it again to verify. Make sure to use a strong password that no one else could guess. Tap Continue and select three security questions. Answer each question with information that only you know and that can’t be guessed. Tap Continue and review the Terms and Conditions.

Tap Agree, then tap Agree again to confirm. Apple will send a verification email to your email address.

How to Find Your Apple ID

Get an email

The first step is to get an email from Apple. Head to Apple’s iForgot page and type in your Apple ID. If you don’t know your Apple ID, there are instructions on the same page for how to find it. Click Continue, and you’ll be able to select how you want Apple to reach you.

You can have the email sent to an alternate email address that you set up previously, or you can have Apple send a text message to your phone number on file with instructions. I recommend using an email address because it’s less likely that someone will be able to intercept a text message than an email, but if you don’t have access to your alternate email address, select the text message option.

Answer security questions

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you’re signing in with your Apple ID on a new device for the first time, you might be asked to verify your password with one of your security questions.

How to Change Your Apple ID

6 Enter your date of birth and tap Next..
7 Enter your first name and last name and tap Next..

11 Tap Use One-Time Code••• , then enter the verification code that was sent to your rescue email address***** .. ~~Or~~ Enter the verification code from one of these other devices signed in with this iCloud Keychain-enabled device before:••• , then tap Allow***** .. 12 To finish creating your new Apple ID•• , tap Done on your iPhone or iPad •••• .

Click Edit in the Account section.

If you’re using an Apple ID that’s shared with other members of your family, you can change it to a separate Apple ID that’s just for you. To make sure that your data remains safe, changing your Apple ID will also sign you out everywhere that you’re currently signed in with that Apple ID. If you have any subscriptions, they’ll be cancelled. And if you have iCloud Backup turned on, a new backup will be created when you sign in to iCloud with your new Apple ID.

Click Change Apple ID.

You can only change your Apple ID to another third-party email address that’s not already associated with an Apple ID. If you want to change your Apple ID to a different iCloud email address, first sign out of iCloud, then sign back in with the new iCloud email address that you want to use.

1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
2. In the Account section, click Edit.
3. Under Change Email Address, click Change Email Address.
4. Enter the new email address for your Apple ID, then click Save changes.
5. A verification code is sent to your new email address. enter the code, then click Verify Address

Enter the new Apple ID that you want to use.

To change your Apple ID, sign out of your current Apple ID, then sign in with the new one that you want to use. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create a new Apple ID.
