Caring for the Band
An Apple Watch is a special device that is not only a computer but also a fashion accessory. As such, it is important to take care of the band to keep it looking its best. You should avoid getting the band wet and avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals. If the band gets dirty, you can clean it with a soft, damp cloth.
Clean the band with a soft, dry cloth
Washing the band with soap and water is not recommended, but you can clean it with a soft, dry cloth if it becomes dirty. If the band is still wet, allow it to air dry completely before putting it back on your wrist.
You should also avoid letting the band come into contact with lotions, sunscreens, oils, perfume, makeup, or other chemicals, as they might damage the band or leave stains. If you need to clean the band more thoroughly, you can remove it from the watch and rinse it under running water for a few seconds. However, make sure that you don’t submerge the watch in water—just the band. After rinsing off the band, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth before putting it back on your wrist.
Store the band in a cool, dry place
Direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity can accelerate the aging process of the band, so it’s best to store it in a cool, dry place when you’re not wearing it. You can also use a watch case or band box to keep your bands organized and protected.
