How to Use the Watch to Stay Fit
The Apple Watch has various health-tracking features that can help you stay fit and healthy. It has a built-in heart rate monitor that can track your heart rate and activity level. It also has a built-in step counter that can track your steps and fitness level. There are also a few other health-tracking features that we will cover in this section.
Use the Activity App
The Activity app is one of the key ways to track your fitness with your Apple Watch. It shows you three separate metrics: Move, Exercise, and Stand.
Move tracks your active calories burned, Exercise is minutes spent doing intense activity, and Stand is the time spent standing up (at least once an hour). To hit your fitness goals, you need to close all three of these rings each day.
If you’re just starting out, don’t worry if you can’t close all the rings every day. The important thing is to be consistent and make it a habit. Over time, you’ll be able to increase the amount of activity you do and eventually hit your targets every day.
There are a few different ways to view your progress in the app. The main screen shows you all three metrics at once so you can see how you’re doing overall.
You can also dig deeper and see more detailed information for each metric. For example, with the Move metric, you can see how many active calories you’ve burned and compare it to previous days or weeks.
You can also add custom goals to the app or change the default ones if you want to focus on something specific. For example, if you’re training for a marathon, might want to add a goal for running a certain number of miles each week.
The app will also give you personalized suggestions on how to improve your fitness based on your activity level. For example, if it sees that you’ve been sitting down for too long, it might suggest that you go for a walk or run.
The Activity app is a great way to get started with tracking your fitness with your Apple Watch. It’s simple to use and provides valuable information that can help you improve your health and hit your fitness goals.
Use workout app
The Workout app is a great way to track your fitness and see your progress over time. To use the Workout app, open it on your Apple Watch and select the type of workout you want to do. You can choose from running, walking, cycling, elliptical, rowing, stair climbing, swimming, or an outdoor workout. Once you’ve selected a workout, you can set a goal for distance, time, or calories burned.
When you’re ready start your workout, tap Start. The Workout app will track your progress and give you regular updates on your elapsed time, distance covered, and calories burned. When you’re finished with your workout, tap End.
You can also use the Workout app to track other types of workouts that are not included in the list above. To do this, select Other in the list of workouts. Then choose whether you want to track your own custom workout or one of Apple’s built-in workouts that are not included in the list above.
If you choose to track a custom workout, you can give it a name and set goals for distance and time. You can also choose whether the workout counts towards your daily activity goals.
Apple has a number of built-in workouts that are not included in the list above. These workouts are designed to help you burn calories and improve your fitness level. To access these workouts, select Other in the list of workouts and then choose Built-In Workouts.
Use the Health App
Open the Health app. It’s a white app with a multicolored flower icon. If you can’t find it, swipe right from your home screen, then type “health” into the Search bar at the top of the screen. Doing so will bring up a list of results; tap Health.
Once you’re in the Health app, you’ll see an overview of your health data (or “dashboard”) at the bottom of the screen. The dashboard displays your steps taken, standing hours, and other fitness data.
To see more detailed information about your fitness activity, tap one of the cards on your dashboard. For example, to see how many miles you’ve walked today, tap Steps.
How to Use the Watch to Stay Healthy
The Apple Watch has sensors that can track your heart rate and your activity level. It also has a built-in GPS so it can track your location and distance travelled. You can use the Watch to set fitness goals and monitor your progress. In this article, we’ll show you how to use the Watch to stay fit and healthy.
Use the Activity App
The Activity app is one of the most important apps on the Apple Watch. It helps you track your daily activity levels, including how many steps you take and many calories you burn. It also encourages you to Stand up and move around for at least one minute every hour, and it gives you awards for completing fitness milestones.
To access the Activity app, press the Digital Crown to go to the Home screen, then tap the Activity app icon.
Once you’re in the app, you’ll see three rings: Move, Stand, and Exercise. Your goal is to complete each ring every day.
The Move ring tracks how many active calories you’ve burned so far that day. Active calories are different from resting calories, which are the number of calories your body burns just by being alive. Active calories are the number of calories your body burns above your resting calorie rate. You can view your current Move goal by tapping on the move ring.
The Stand ring tracks how often you stand up and move around for at least one minute during an hour in a given day. To meet your Stand goal, just stand up and move around for at least one minute during 12 different hours in a day.You can view your current Stand goal by tapping on the stand ring.
The Exercise ring tracks how many minutes of brisk activity you’ve done so far that day. To meet your Exercise goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise or 15 minutes of vigorous exercise each day, preferably spread out throughout the day. You don’t have to do these activities all at once—you could take a 10-minute walk three times throughout the day, for example. And if you’re looking for some ideas, tap on the Exercise ring to see a list of workouts that count toward your goal.
Use the Workout App
The Watch has a comprehensive Workout app that can track a variety of activities, including walking, running, cycling, and more. To start tracking your workout with the app, all you need to do is open the app and select the activity you want to track. The app will then use the Watch’s sensors to track your progress and give you real-time feedback.
You can also use the Workout app to set goals for yourself and see your progress over time. For example, you could set a goal to walk 30 minutes every day for a month. The app will then keep track of your progress and let you know when you’ve reached your goal.
In addition to tracking your own workouts, the Workout app can also be used to track your heart rate. To do this, simply open the app and select the “Heart Rate” option. The app will then use the Watch’s sensors to monitor your heart rate and give you real-time feedback.
Use the Health App
The Health app consolidates data from your iPhone, Apple Watch, and third-party apps you already use, so you can view all your progress in one convenient place. If your iPhone is with you, it can access data from the Health app to provide more information and recommendations. And if you have an Apple Watch, the Health app uses your watch data to provide helpful information and tips.
