If you’ve got an iPhone 8, you use apple pay to make contactless payments. Here’s how to set it up and use it.

Open the Wallet App
1.Open the Wallet app on your iPhone 8. The Wallet app is pre-installed on all iPhones and can be found on your home screen.
2.Tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner of the screen.
3.Follow the prompts to add a new credit or debit card to your Wallet. You can use the camera to capture your card information or enter it manually.
4.Once your card is added, tap on it to select it as your default payment method.
5.When you’re ready to make a purchase, hold your iPhone 8 near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID. You’ll see “Done” and a checkmark on the screen when your payment is successful.
Add Your Credit or Debit Card
Adding a credit or debit card to Apple Pay is simple and can be done in a few different ways. The first way is to open the Wallet app on your iPhone 8 and tap on the “+” sign in the upper-right corner. From there, you can use your iPhone’s camera to capture your card information or you can manually enter it in.
If you have an iPhone 8 Plus or later, you can also add your card by going to Settings -> Wallet & Apple Pay and tapping on the “+” sign. You can also add a card by tapping on it in the Wallet app and selecting the “Add to Apple Pay” option.
Once your card is added, you’ll need to verify it before you start using Apple Pay. This is usually done by verifying a code that is sent to your bank, but some banks may have other verification methods.
Use Apple Pay in Stores
Open the Wallet app and select the card you want to use. Position your iPhone 8 near the contactless reader with your fingerprint on Touch ID. You might need to sign a receipt or enter a PIN.
To pay in apps, go to the app and choose Apple Pay as your payment method. Position your iPhone 8 near the contactless reader and place your finger on Touch ID. Or, if you’re paying in Safari, position your phone near the reader and authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID.
You can use apple pay in some apps on your iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3. Look for the Apple Pay logo or pay with Touch ID in apps.
Use Apple Pay in Apps

From here, you will be able to add a new credit or debit card by tapping on the plus sign in top right corner You can also use the camera to quickly add a new card by hovering it over your card’s number and security code.
Once you’ve added a card, you can using apple pay in apps. To do this, find an app that supports Apple Pay and tap on the button to pay. You may be asked to sign in or confirm your payment method. Once you’ve done that, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader and wait for the confirmation that your payment has been made.
Use Apple Pay on the Web
Open Safari and go to a participating website.
Look for the Apple Pay button or badge and click it. You might need to choose a country or region first.

Check Your Transaction History
You can check your most recent transactions by opening the Apple Pay app and tapping on the card you used to make the payment. If you want to see all of your transaction history, including payments made with other Apple devices, you’ll need to open the Wallet app and tap on the card’s pass. From there, select “Transaction History” and you’ll be able to see all of the payments you’ve made with that particular card.
