If you have an iPhone, you can use apple pay to withdraw cash from ATMs. This new feature is convenient and easy to use. In this article, we will show you how use apple pay at ATMs.
Setting up Apple Pay
If you have an iPhone 6 or later,* you use apple pay to make credit card and debit card purchases in stores, within apps, and on the web. You can also use Apple Pay to pay for transit, EFTPOS transactions, and to make in-app and online purchases (within Australia, Canada, China mainland, France, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States).
When you’re using Apple Pay in a store or restaurant , look for one of these symbols at checkout:
To pay with Apple Pay in an app or on the web in Safari , look for one of these symbols and then follow the instructions on your iPhone or iPad:
1.Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2.Tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
3.Tap Add Credit or Debit Card. If you don’t see Add Credit or Debit Card, tap Edit Cards. If you’re asked to add the card that you use with apple id , cards on other devices , or cards that you’ve recently removed , choose them and tap Done. 4.Follow the instructions on your screen to enter your card’s security code to add your card to Wallet. If you have an iPhone that supports Touch ID , you can add your credit or debit card to Wallet without having to type its security code . Just hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID . To learn how Touch ID works with Apple Pay , see Use Touch ID . When prompted by iOS Security settings , tap Allow . You might also be asked if want to receive notifications about your transactions . Tap OK if this is something that interests you; otherwise tap Don’t Allow . Choose whether or not Siri can access information from Wallet when locked with a passcode—might want this turned off if someone else has access to locked mode on Siri & Search settings Now that you’ve set up Apple Pay Cash*, follow these steps so that it’ll be there when sent or requested : Open the Settings app on your iPhonetap Wallet & Appletap Edit Tap the plus sign next tothen choosewhetheror notyou’d like’Transfersto go toyour defaultfinanceapp(if any)followinga successfultransaction
Adding your debit or credit card to Apple Pay
To add a new card to Apple Pay, open the Wallet app and tap the ‘+’ sign in the upper-right corner. If you’re using iOS 12.1 or later, you can also add a card by opening the Settings app, tapping “Wallet & Apple Pay,” and selecting “Add Card.”
You can add debit and credit cards from your iTunes Passbook or by entering the card information manually. To add a Passbook card, tap “Add Card from Passbook” and follow the instructions on your screen. To enter your card information manually, tap “Add Card Manually” and fill out the required fields.
Using Apple Pay at retail locations
Apple Pay can be used at millions of retail locations, including many stores that accept contactless payments. To use Apple Pay at a retail location, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID. You might need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN.
If you’re paying with Apple Pay in a store and you’re being asked to also provide a payment card, you might be able to pay with your default card instead. Just double-click the side button and hold the display of your iPhone close to the contactless reader. Learn more about using Apple Pay in stores.
Some stores might have unique ways of using Apple Pay. For example, in Japan, you can hold your iPhone close to certain FeliCa terminals to make Suica payments.
Using Apple Pay at an ATM
If you have an iPhone 8 or later, or apple watch Series 3 or later, you can use Apple Pay at many ATM machines. Look for the contactless symbol or Apple Pay logo.
To use Apple Pay at an ATM:
1. On your iPhone 8 or later, double-click the Side button. If you turned on Require Passcode, enter your passcode.
2. Hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display.
3. On your Apple Watch Series 3 or later, double-click the side button. If you turned on Require Passcode, enter your passcode. Place the watch display close to the contactless reader until you see done and a checkmark on the watch face.
How to Use Apple Pay at an ATM
Apple Pay can be used at select ATMs to withdraw cash. You can use Apple Pay at any ATM that displays either the Apple Pay or the contactless symbol. To use Apple Pay at an ATM, you will need to have an iPhone that is running iOS 11.2 or later.
Finding an ATM that supports Apple Pay
There are three ways to find an ATM that supports Apple Pay:
-Using the Maps app: Open the Maps app and search for an ATM near you. If the ATM is participating in Apple Pay, it’ll have an Apple Pay logo next to it.
-Asking Siri: Say “Siri, where’s the nearest Apple Pay ATM?” If there’s an Apple Pay ATM nearby, Siri will tell you and provide directions to the ATM.
-Using the card issuer’s app: Some card issuers, like Chase and Bank of America, have their own apps that can be used to locate ATMs that support Apple Pay.
To use your iPhone or iPad to withdraw cash from an ATM, you’ll first need to add your card to Wallet. Once your card is in Wallet, you can use it at any ATM that supports either Apple Pay or contactless payments.
Using your iPhone to withdraw cash from an ATM
Apple Pay allows you to use your iPhone to withdraw cash from an ATM. To do so, you’ll need to set up Apple Pay on your iPhone and add your credit or debit card to the Wallet app. Once you’ve done so, you can use your iPhone to withdraw cash from any ATM that supports Apple Pay.
Here’s how to set up Apple Pay and use it at an ATM:
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap on Wallet & Apple Pay.
3. Tap on Add Credit or Debit Card.
4. Follow the instructions to add your card to Apple Pay.
5. Once you’ve added your card, open the Wallet app and select the card you want to use.
6. Tap on theTransaction Details button in the top-right corner of the screen.
7. Tap on Withdraw Cash from ATM.
8. Enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw and tap Withdraw Cash.
Using your Apple Watch to withdraw cash from an ATM
If you have an Apple Watch, you can use it to withdraw cash from an ATM without your card. Just hold your watch up to the ATM scanner when prompted and then enter your PIN on the keypad. You can also use Apple Pay to withdraw cash from some ATMs by selecting your card on the ATM screen and then tapping your phone on the contactless reader.
