Out-of-date apps can be a security risk. Here’s how to update the apps on apple tv

Open the App Store app.
Open the App Store app. The App Store is the multicolored A on a whitebackground. You’ll find it on home screen
If you’re using an older model of apple tv you won’t have access to an App Store, so you’ll need to update your apps through a computer.
If prompted,Sign in with apple id This is the account that you use to access iTunes and other Apple services. If you don’t have apple id you can create one now.
click Update All. It’s in the upper-right corner of the screen. Doing so will prompt all of your apps to update; if any updates are available for your TV’s system software, those will download and install as well.[1]
You can also update apps individually by clicking ∨ to the right of an app that needs updating, then clicking Update.
Tap the Updates tab.
Here’s how to update apps on your Apple TV:
1. Open the App Store app.
2. Select the Updates tab.
3. If an update is available, select Update next to the app.
4. Or, if an update is available, select Update All to install all available updates for your apps.
Tap Update All, or the update icon next to an app to update only that app.
Tap Settings > Apps.
If any app updates are available, they’ll be listed at the top of the Apps page. Tap Update All to install all available updates, or tap an update to install just that one.
