How to Unsync Your Apple Watch

If you own apple watch you may have noticed that it tends to stay synced with your iPhone. But what if you want to unsync it? Here’s how!

Open watch app on your iPhone.

The Watch app on your iPhone is the place to go when you need to adjust your Watch’s settings, sync apps, and more. One common thing people need to do with their Watch is unsync it from their iPhone. Maybe you’re giving your Watch to someone else, maybe you’re selling it, or maybe you just don’t use it anymore and want to free up some space on your iPhone. Whatever the reason, here’s how to unsync apple watch from your iPhone.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap General. Scroll down and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Tap Erase All.

Tap the watch tab

On your iPhone, open apple watch app. Tap the watch tab then tap your watch at the top of the screen. Scroll down tap unpair apple watch For cellular models, you need to turn off Activation Lock beforehand.

Scroll to the bottom and tap Unpair Apple Watch.

If you have an Apple Watch and you got a new iPhone, unpair your Apple Watch from your previous iPhone before you set up your new device. Unpairing automatically backs up your Apple Watch so that you can restore it after you pair with a new iPhone. Make sure that you have a backup of your device before you begin.

If you can’t unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, reset both devices:

– On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
– On your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.

Tap I’m sure.

If you’re sure that you want to dissociate your Apple Watch from your iPhone, tap I’m sure. Once you’ve un synced, you can’t re-sync without setting up your Apple Watch from scratch.
