How to Unpair Your Apple Watch Without Your Phone

If you’re no longer using apple watch and want to unpair it from your iPhone, you can do so without having your phone nearby.

Open watch app on your iPhone.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen. Tap the information icon next to your watch. If you see a red Unpair button, tap it.

Tap the My Watch tab.

If you have an iPhone, you can unpair apple watch and iPhone using the Watch app. Unpairing will back up your Apple Watch so you can restore it after you pair it with a new iPhone.

To unpair using the Watch app:

1. Tap the My Watch tab.
2. Tap your watch at the top of the screen.
3. Tap Unpair Apple Watch.

If you don’t have an iPhone, you can unpair your Apple Watch and restore it to factory settings without using your iPhone.

To unpair and restore:

1. On your Apple Watch, press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off your watch.
3. Press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen of your watch..

Tap General > Reset.

On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset.

Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then enter your passcode if prompted.

Tap Erase All.

Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

If you have a cellular model of Apple Watch, you might need to contact your carrier to cancel your cellular service.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.
Tap General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings. If you’ve never backed up your Watch, you’ll be prompted to back it up before you can continue.
Enter apple id password, then tap Erase everything.

For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.

If you have an Apple Watch with cellular, you can decide whether to keep or remove your cellular plan.

If you keep your plan, your watch will remain connected to the cellular network and you’ll be able to make and receive calls, send and receive messages,use apple pay and more, even if your iPhone isn’t with you.

If you remove your plan, you can still use everything on your watch that doesn’t require a cellular connection. For example, you’ll still be able to track your workouts, listen to music stored on your watch, and more.

If you have an Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), you can remove your cellular plan right from your iPhone:
1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Cellular.
3. Tap Remove Plan.

Tap Erase All.

If you don’t have your iPhone or can’t turn off Airplane Mode on your iPhone, you can use these steps to unpair your devices.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is on its charger and charged to at least 50%.

On your Apple Watch, open the Settings app.

Tap General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
If you turned on Find My iPhone, you might need to enter apple id password
If you can’t enter a password or you’ve forgotten it, tap Skip in the top-right corner, then follow the steps below.
Press and hold the side button until you see Power off.
Drag the slider to turn off your watch.
After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

Enter apple id password then tap Erase Everything.

If you can’t access your iPhone, or if you don’t have it with you, you can still unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone. Just make sure that your Apple Watch has enough power to complete the process.

To unpair using your Apple Watch:

1. On your Apple Watch, open the Settings app.
2. Tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
3. Enter your Apple ID password, then tap Erase Everything.
If you forgot your Apple ID password, tap Forgot password or call Apple Support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273).
