You can now unlock apple watch while wearing a mask. Here’s how it works and what you need to know.

Open watch app on your iPhone.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap the watch tab then tap Passcode. If you’ve never set a passcode, tap Turn Passcode On. If you’ve already set a passcode, tap Change Passcode, then enter your current passcode.
Tap the My Watch tab.
If you own apple watch you probably know that it can do a lot of things. But did you know that you can also use it to unlock your Mac? All you need is an Apple Watch that’s running watchOS 2 or later and a Mac that’s running macOS Sierra or later. Here’s how it works:
First, make sure that both your Mac and your Apple Watch are signed in to the icloud account Then, on your Apple Watch, tap the My Watch tab. Scroll down and tap Passcode. Tap Turn Passcode On. Enter a passcode, then tap Done.
Now, on your Mac, open System Preferences and click Security & Privacy. Click the General tab and make sure that Require Password After Sleep or Screen Savers Begin is selected. Close System Preferences.
When you wake your Mac from sleep, you should see a notification on your Apple Watch asking if you want to unlock your Mac. Just tap Unlock and enter your passcode on your Apple Watch when prompted. That’s it!
Tap Passcode.
If you have a passcode set, you’ll be prompted to enter it.
If you don’t have a passcode set, tap Set Passcode, then follow the onscreen steps.
Tap Turn Passcode On.
If you can’t remember your passcode, you’ll need to erase your Apple Watch start again. Follow the steps below to erase your device:
1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Passcode.
3. Tap Turn Passcode On. If you’re asked to enter your passcode apple id enter it.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to create a new passcode for your Apple Watch.
Enter a six-digit passcode.
If you’ve just set up your Apple Watch, you’ll be asked to enter a six-digit passcode. This passcode is different from the one you use to unlock your iPhone. Once you enter it, you’ll be asked to enter it again to confirm.
Tap Use Number Pad to enter a Custom numeric code.
On the watch face, firmly press the display.
Swipe up to open Control Center, then tap the lock icon .
Tap Use Number Pad to enter a Custom numeric code.
Tap Done.
On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then tap the My Watch tab.
Tap Passcode, then turn on Unlock with iPhone.
With Unlock with iPhone turned on, you can unlock your Apple Watch when it’s near your iPhone. You don’t need to enter your passcode.
