How to Turn Subtitles on Your Apple TV

Open Settings on your Apple TV.

Subtitles and closed captioning allow you to read the dialog in television shows, movies, and other video content. If you’re hard of hearing, or you watch shows in a noisy environment, they can be a lifesaver. You can turn them on from settings app on your Apple TV. Here’s how:

Open Settings on your Apple TV.
From the main Settings menu, scroll down and select Accessibility.
Select Subtitles & Captioning.
Turn on Subtitles or Closed Captions by selecting the appropriate option under the HEARING heading.
If you want to change the appearance of subtitles and captions, select Appearance. You can then adjust the following options:
-Font
-Size
-Color
-Highlight Color
-Background Color

Go to the “Audio & Video” section and select “Subtitles.”

1. Go to Settings > Accessibility.
2. Select Subtitles and Captioning.
3. Select Always On.
