How to Turn On Your Apple Wireless Keyboard

If you have an Apple wireless keyboard, you may be wondering how to turn it on. Here’s a quick guide to get you started.

Open Bluetooth preferences (System Preferences > Bluetooth).

With your Apple Wireless Keyboard turned on, simply open System Preferences on yourMac and click Bluetooth. Your keyboard should now appear in the Devices list. If it doesn’t appear, try holding down the power button for 3 seconds.

Select your keyboard in the Devices list and click the Connect button .

If you have an Apple Wireless Keyboard (2007), the power button is on the right side of the device, near the top. If your keyboard has lights in the upper right corner of the keyboard, make sure that they’re turned on.

Some keyboards have a physical switch that toggles the power on and off. If your keyboard has this switch, make sure that it’s in the ON position.

To turn on an Apple Wireless Keyboard (2005), press and hold the power button until a green light flashes.

If you have more than one keyboard connected, you can switch between them by pressing Command-Shift-Option-Space bar.
