- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap the My Watch tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom and tap the watch you want to unpair.
- Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
- For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.
- Enter apple id password then tap Turn Off.
- Tap the watch face to set it up again.
If you’re new to apple watch or just picked up a new Series 6, here’s how to get started and turn on your new device.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Tap Privacy > Location Services. Make sure that Location Services is turned on. Scroll down and tap System Services. Make sure that the options for Motion & Fitness, Ruler, and Setting Time Zone are turned on. Open watch app on your iPhone. Tap the My Watch tab. Tap Passcode. If you don’t have a passcode, tap Turn Passcode On. If you have a passcode, but can’t remember it, tap I Forgot My Code, then follow the instructions on your screen.
Tap the My Watch tab.
My Watch is the default landing page when you first open the Watch app. It’s also where you’ll find most of the settings and options for your watch. To get there from any other tab, just tap the My Watch tab at the bottom of the screen.
Once you’re in the My Watch tab, tap General, then tap Wake Screen. From here, you can choose how long your watch will stay on before it goes back to sleep. Choose from 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes.
Scroll down to the bottom and tap the watch you want to unpair.
If you have apple watch and iPhone, you can unpair them so that they’re no longer connected. Unpairing will back up your watch so that you can restore it after you pair it with a new iPhone. You can also unpair manually in the Watch app on your iPhone. Just follow the steps below.
Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
If you’re setting up your Apple Watch for the first time, you’ll need to turn it on. If you’ve already set up your Apple Watch, but you need to restart it, or you want to erase all of its content start over, you’ll need to unpair it from your iPhone first.
Here’s how to turn on your Apple Watch Series 6:
1. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
2. Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
3. Enter apple id password.
4. Tap Turn All Categories On or Turn On Individually.
5. Choose which features and settings you want to use on your watch.
For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.
If you bought an Apple Watch with cellular, you can choose to add or remove your cellular plan.
If you’re no longer using your Apple Watch and want to remove the cellular plan, make sure that your Apple Watch is no longer active on your carrier’s network.
If you still have an active cellular plan and want to keep it, but don’t want to use it with your Apple Watch, you can suspend the service.
Enter apple id password then tap Turn Off.
If you can’t remember your passcode, you’ll need to erase your Apple Watch, which deletes all of your data and settings:
– Press and hold the side button until “Erase all content and settings” appears.
– Tap Erase All, then enter apple id password to confirm.
– When asked for a passcode, tap “Erase watch.”
Tap the watch face to set it up again.
You can restart your Apple Watch Series 6 by tapping the watch face to set it up again. If you can’t tap the watch face, you can also long-press the side button and then slide to power off.
