In order to turn off apple watch you will need to press and hold down the side button until the Power Off slider appears on the screen. Once the Power Off slider appears, you will need to drag it to the right to turn off your Apple Watch.

Power Reserve mode is a great way to conserve your Apple Watch’s battery when you’re not using it. This mode turns off all but the essential functions of your watch, so it can last up to 72 hours on a single charge. Here’s how to put your Watch in Power Reserve mode:
1. Press and hold the side button until the “Power Reserve” slider appears.
2. Slide the “Power Reserve” slider to the right to turn on Power Reserve mode.

Your Apple Watch will enter Power Reserve mode automatically if the battery gets too low. You can also put your watch in Power Reserve manually. In Power Reserve, your watch’s Face will go dark and you’ll see a power reserve graphic.
To manually enter Power Reserve:

2. Drag the slider to the right to power off.

4. Continue holding the side button until you see the Power Reserve slider.
