How to Take Your Apple Watch Band Off

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to take apple watch band off so you can change it or clean it.

Locate the small button on the underside of the watch

Locate the small button on the underside of the watch. This is located just below and to the right of the digital crown. The button is recessed, so you may need to use a toothpick, paperclip, or other small, pointed object to depress it. Press and hold down the button for about 3 seconds. The band should now slide out of the watch case. If it does not, ensure that you are pressing and holding the button in correctly.

Assuming you want to remove your watch band to clean it or swap it out for a different one, here’s how. First, make sure your Watch is turned off. Second,find the small button on the underside of the watch near the band connector. Press and hold that button while simultaneously sliding the band across and off the watch.

Slide the band across to release it

To remove apple watch band, slide the band across to release it. If you’re wearing a Link Bracelet or Milanese Loop, press the quick release button on a connector.

If you need to put apple watch back on, just reverse these steps.

If the band is stuck, try using a small, sharp object to pry it off. Apply pressure to one side of the band while you pry against the other side. If the band won’t budge, try heating it with a hair dryer for a few seconds. Don’t use boiling water or put the watch in the microwave.
