How to Sync Your Apple Watch with a New iPhone

If you’ve just gotten a new iPhone, you may be wondering how to sync apple watch with it. Here’s a quick guide on how to do just that!

Open watch app on your new iPhone.

Tap “Start Pairing” on your new iPhone. On apple watch tap “Pair New Watch.” Enter the four-digit code that appears on your new iPhone.

Tap the My Watch tab.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
Tap the My Watch tab.
Tap your watch at the top of the screen.
Tap Pair New Watch.
Follow the instructions.

Scroll down, then tap your Apple Watch.

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud, you can restore your Apple Watch from a backup. Make sure that your iPhone and your Apple Watch are running the latest versions of iOS and watchOS, then follow these steps:

-Put your Apple Watch on its charger.
-Keep your iPhone close to your Apple Watch.
-Make sure that both devices are connected to Wi-Fi.
-On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
-Tap the My Watch tab, then scroll down. Tap your Apple Watch.
-Tap Erase all content and settings, then tap Erase All. This will restart your Apple Watch.*
-When asked if you want to restore from a backup, tap Restore from Backup > Choose a Backup > enter its password > wait for the process to finish > set up as new or restore from backup.

Tap Pair New Watch.

If you’re setting up your first Apple Watch, you’ll need to pair it with your iPhone. Make sure that your iPhone has iOS 8.2 or later installed and that it’s in range of your Apple Watch.

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone start pairing Place your iPhone next to your Apple Watch to begin.

Follow the instructions on your iPhone and Apple Watch. When prompted, tap Continue on your iPhone, then tap Pair on your Apple Watch. If you’re asked to enter a passcode, use the one that appears on your Apple Watch.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen. If you don’t see your watch, tap “Add an Apple Watch” and follow the onscreen instructions.

Turn on your new iPhone and place it near your current iPhone that’s signed in to iCloud. A message will say that your new iPhone can’t be used with your current Apple Watch. Tap Set Up Anyway.

Enter apple id password on your new iPhone when prompted. On your current iPhone, you’ll see a message that says, “Your Apple Watch is about to be unpaired from your iPhone.” Tap Continue on your current iPhone, tap pair new watch on your new device. If you have an LTE model of Apple Watch Series 3 or later, choose to set up cellular later.
