Setting up Home Sharing
Home Sharing is a great way to share your Apple TV content with your family and friends. You can share your movies, TV shows, music, and more with up to five other people in your household. To set up Home Sharing, you’ll need to have icloud account and be signed in to the iTunes Store.
Go to Settings
On the main menu, select Settings.
##Heading: Select Accounts
Under Accounts, select Family & Friends.
##Heading: Set up Home Sharing
Select Set Up Home Sharing and enter apple id and password when prompted.
Select Users and Accounts
Select “Home Sharing”
Home Sharing is a cool feature introduced in iTunes 9 that lets you share your entire iTunes library with up to five authorized computers in your home. Once Home Sharing is set up, any of those computers can access your shared library and play or copy any of its content. Home Sharing doesn’t stream content — it copies it — so make sure you’ve got enough free space on the destination computer before you try to play or sync a particularly large video file.
To set up Home Sharing, open iTunes and choose File -> Home Sharing -> Turn On Home Sharing. Once you’ve turned on Home Sharing, enter apple id and password when prompted. Once you’ve done that, your shared library should appear in the left sidebar under “Shared.” If it doesn’t, click the “+” button next to “Shared” in the sidebar and select your shared library from the pop-up menu that appears.
Enter apple id and password
After turning on Home Sharing, you need to enter your Apple ID and password on each computer or iOS device that you want to use with Home Sharing.
1. Open iTunes.
2. From the menu bar at the top of your screen, choose File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing.
3. Enter your Apple ID and password, then click Turn on Home Sharing.
Sharing Your Library
You can share your Apple TV with up to six people in your family. This is a great way to keep everyone entertained without having to buy multiple Apple TVs. You can share your library of apps, games, movies, and TV shows with your family.
Go to Settings
On your Apple TV, go to Settings. Scroll down to Accounts and click Manage Subscriptions. If you’re asked for a passcode and you don’t have one, set one up. If you don’t see Accounts, make sure that you’re using tvOS 12 or later.
Tap your name, then tap Family Sharing. If you don’t see Family Sharing, tap iCloud instead. If you’re using an iOS device, go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing, then turn on Share Your Purchases.
Open the Settings app on Apple TV. Select Accounts. Select Family Sharing. Select your account. Select the checkbox next to Share your library with your family.
Now anyone in your family can access your iTunes content, see what you’ve purchased, and view your playlists and artist stations.
Now that you’ve set up your new Apple TV, it’s time start sharing your content with family and friends. With the right settings, you can share your music, photos, videos, and more with anyone who has an Apple TV. Here’s how to get started:

Your Apple TV can share your iTunes Library with other computers on your local network. You can also access other people’s iTunes Libraries if they’ve chosen to share them.

To access a shared library, first select the shared library you want to access from the Libraries tab. If you don’t see the Libraries tab, make sure you’re in Expert mode.
Once you’ve selected the shared library you want to access, a window will appear with all of the content that is available in that library. From here, you can browse and search for specific titles, and then add them to your My Stuff section for easy access later.
If you’re experiencing trouble when trying to share your Apple TV with friends and family, there are a few things you can try. First, make sure that everyone’s devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Then, check to see if AirPlay is enabled on your Apple TV. If it is, disable it and then try again. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your Apple TV.
Make sure all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
To share your Apple TV with family and friends, you’ll need to make sure all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Then follow these steps:
1. On your Apple TV, go to Settings > AirPlay and make sure that AirPlay is on.
2. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center.
3. Tap AirPlay.

Check that Home Sharing is turned on for all devices
If you don’t see shared libraries from other computers on your network, make sure that Home Sharing is turned on for all devices.
On each device, open the Music app, go to the Library tab, tap , then tap Home Sharing. If you don’t see the option to turn on Home Sharing, make sure that you’re signed in to all of your devices with the same Apple ID.
Check that you’re using the correct Apple ID
When you set up Family Sharing, make sure that everyone in your family is using the same Apple ID. That way, when you buy a movie or song or download an app, everyone gets access to it.
Here’s how to check what Apple ID you’re using on your Apple TV:
1. Open Settings on your Apple TV.
2. Select Users > Accounts.
3. Select every account and check the email address next to the account name.
4. If you’re using a different Apple ID for iCloud than what you use for purchases, you might see a message that says, “An Apple ID can’t be used for iCloud storage and purchases at the same time.” To fix this, sign in with your iCloud Apple ID and password on your iOS device or Mac, then go back to Users > Accounts on your television and enter the password for your purchase Apple ID when prompted by tvOS.
