How to Share Apple Music with Family and Friends

Sharing is caring. Here’s how to share apple music subscription with your family and friends.

Open the Music app.

Open the Music app. If you’re not signed in, sign in with apple id

Tap For You.

Tap the profile icon or your photo in the upper-left corner, then tap Family Sharing.

If you don’t see Family Sharing, tap More > Family Sharing, then start Family Sharing. If you still don’t see it, make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS and that you subscribe to Apple Music..

Apple Music makes it easy to share your music with family and friends. With the Tap For You feature, you can share your favorite songs, albums, and playlists with anyone you want. Here’s how:

1. Open apple music app and tap the “For You” tab.

2. Tap the share icon (the little box with an arrow pointing up) next to the song, album, or playlist you want to share.

3. Select how you want to share your music – through Messages, Mail, Twitter, or Facebook.

4. Enter the name or email address of the person you want to share your music with and tap “Send.”

That’s all there is to it! The person you shared your music with will receive a link that they can use to listen to your shared music.

Tap Set Up Family Sharing. If you’re already sharing purchases with a family member, you might be asked to confirm that you want to stop sharing.

Under Share your content, tap Music, then turn on Share my music. Your family members can now see and play your music in their own Libraries.

Tap Family Sharing.

If you have more than one Apple device, you can share your Apple Music subscription with up to six people in your family. With Family Sharing, you can share iTunes, Apple Books, and App Store purchases, an iCloud storage plan, and a family photo album with up to five other family members who have their own Apple IDs. When you set up purchase sharing, the music, movies, TV shows, books, and apps that each person buys are instantly available to everyone else in the family. And each person gets their own personal recommendations and iTunes Store wish list.

Tap Add Family Member.

But first, make sure you’re signed in with apple id and have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, macOS, or iTunes for Windows.

Here’s how to set up Family Sharing:

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Open the Music app. Tap the For You tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Tap Set Up Family Sharing. Tap Add Family Member.

On your Mac
Open the Music app. Click For You in the sidebar. Click Get Started under Family Sharing. Click Add Family Member.
OR New members can also join from their own device by opening the Music app and following these steps: Click For You in the sidebar. Click Get Started under Family Sharing.* Enter apple id password then click Continue.* Follow the onscreen instructions.”

Enter your family member’s name or email address and tap Next.

If you don’t see the Add Family Member option, make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, or that your Mac has the latest version of macOS.

On your iOS device:
Open the Settings app.
Tap [your name], then tap Family Sharing.
Tap Add Family Member.
Choose how you want to invite your family member, then follow the onscreen instructions.

On your Android device:
Open the Apple Music app.
Tap For You at the bottom of the screen.
Tap your profile picture in the upper-left corner to go to your account settings.
Scroll down and tap Manage Subscriptions.
Tap Subscribe to Apple Music and follow the onscreen instructions in order to join Apple Music using an individual account.*

If you’re using macOS Catalina or later, open the Music app, click For You in sidebar, then click + in the top-left corner and choose Add Family Member from the drop-down menu.

Tap Share Your Purchases.

On your iPhone, iPad, ipod touch

Open the Music app and go to the For You tab. Scroll down to Family Sharing and tap it. Tap Share Your Purchases. If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple Music family subscription, tap Join Apple Music and confirm your decision. If asked, enter your password.

On your Mac:

Open the Music app and go to For You. Scroll down to Family Sharing and click it. Click Share Your Purchases. If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple Music family subscription, click Join Apple Music and confirm your decision.

On your Android device:

Open the Apple Music app and go to the For You tab. Scroll down to Family Sharing and tap it. Tap Share Your Purchases. If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple Music family subscription, tap Join Apple Music and confirm your decision.

Tap Confirm.

Sharing your Apple Music subscription with family or friends is a great way to cut down on the cost of your monthly bill. Here’s how to do it:

1.Open the Music app and go to the For You tab.
2.Tap your profile avatar in the top right corner.
3.Tap Family Sharing.
4.Tap Share Your Subscription.
5.Enter the name of the family member or friend you want to share with and tap Send Invite.
6.Tap Confirm when prompted.
