This step-by-step guide will show you how to set up apple id on your iPhone. You will need apple id to download apps from the App Store, make purchases, and more.

Open the Settings app.
Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top of the screen. If you’re using iOS 10.3 or later, tap Settings > [your name].
Tap Set Up Now. If you don’t see Set Up Now, sign in with your Apple ID, then tap your name and tap Set Up Now.
Tap Sign in to your [device].
If you have an Apple ID, you can use it to sign in to your iPhone, iPad,ipod touch or Mac. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create one.
To sign in with your Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
1. Tap Settings > [your name]. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign in.
2. Enter your Apple ID and password.
3. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.*
4. If you have two-factor authentication turned on for your Apple ID, you might need to enter a verification code along with your password during sign in. Learn more about two-factor authentication and how to use it with your Apple ID.
*If you can’receive text messages or phone calls on your new device, try to sign in with your previous iOS device or Mac instead.*
Tap Don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it?
If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create a new one:
-Tap Don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it?
-Tap Create a Free Apple ID.
-Enter your name, birthday, email address, password, and choose the country or region you want to use.
-Tap Next.
-An email will be sent to your email address. Tap Verify Your Email Address.
-When asked for your payment method, tap None.
– Fill out the billing information and tap Next.
-To confirm your email address, tap the link in the verification email sent to you by Apple.
Tap Create a Free Apple ID.
Open the App Store. Tap the profile icon or your photo in the upper-right corner. Tap Create a Free Apple ID.
Select your birthday and enter your name. Touch “Use your current email address” or “Get a free iCloud email address.” Type in the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID, then tap Next.
Create a password, then enter it again to verify it. Select a security question, then type in an answer. Tap Next.
Tap Agree to the Terms and Conditions. Tap Merit/Buy to confirm that you want to create an Apple ID without providing a payment method.
Tap Get Started.

To set up your Apple ID on your iPhone,start by tapping the “Settings” icon. Next, tap “iCloud,” then “Create a new Apple ID.” Once you’ve entered your birthday and name, tap “Next.” On the next page, you’ll be asked to choose a password and enter your email address. Make sure to choose a strong password that you won’t forget! After you’ve entered your information, tap “Next.” On the following page, you’ll be asked to verify your email address. Tap “Verify” and then open the verification email that was sent to you. Finally, tap the link in the email to verify your account and finish setting up your Apple ID.
Enter your birthday.
Your Apple ID needs to be associated with a date of birth. This is used for age-restricted content, as well as to calculate how long you’ve been an Apple ID user (an account that’s been active for more than a year gets special treatment in some cases).
To set your date of birth, tap the Edit button next to the DOB field, then use the date selector to choose your birthdate. Once you’ve done that, tap the Done button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Tap next.
You will be asked to enter your first and last name, as well as an email address that will be used as your Apple ID. Once you have entered this information, tap “next.” If you already have an Apple ID, you can sign in with that.
Select your country or region.
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name.
Tap Sign in to your iPhone.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.*
Choose whether to allow your Apple ID to be used on other devices, such as for App Store purchases or iCloud backups. If you want to transfer information from another device to this one, select the data you want to keep a copy of on this device.
Tap Continue and follow the instructions, or tap “Set Up Later in Settings.”

Create your Apple ID. Use the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID. If you don’t have an email address, tap Get a free iCloud email address and follow the instructions.
Confirm your birth date.
Select your country or region, and review the terms and conditions. Tap Agree when you’re ready to continue.
Enter a payment method so that you can buy apps, make in-app purchases, subscribe to Apple Music, and more.*
An eligible payment method is needed only for certain types of purchases: apps, in-app purchases, music, movies, TV shows, books, and iCloud storage subscriptions.
Enter an email address that you want to use as your Apple ID.
You can use any email address as your Apple ID, including an iCloud.com, MobileMe.com, or Mac.com email address that was created on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create one.
Enter your birthday.
Select your Country/Region, and then enter your phone number.
Enter the verification code that was sent to your phone number, then tap Next. If you didn’t get a verification code, tap Didn’t Get A Verification Code on your iOS device or Didn’t Receive A Code on your Mac and request a new one.
Tap next.
Enter your email, password, and a description of your new Apple ID.
-Tap “Next” in the upper right corner of the screen.
-Enter your email address in the “Email Address” field.
-Create a password in the “Password” field. Be sure to use a strong password that you haven’t used before. You can tap the Info button next to the “Password” field to see Apple’s recommendations for creating a strong password.
-Re-enter your password in the “Verify Password” field.
-Tap “Next” in the upper right corner of the screen.

Enter a strong password and tap next. Tap Use your current email address, or tap Get a free iCloud email address.
If you have an iOS device running iOS 10.2 or earlier, or an iPod touch running iOS 9.3.5 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud. If you’re using an iPhone 6s or earlier, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > iCloud > Get a Free Apple ID.
Select security questions that you want to answer and tap next.
After you’ve create your Apple ID, you can set up your new iPhone to use it. This process is pretty simple, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to make sure that you’re running iOS 11 or later on your device. Second, you should know that setting up your Apple ID will also set up iCloud on your device automatically.
Once you’ve got those things squared away, follow the steps below to get started.
1. Tap the Settings app on your home screen.
2. Tap Sign in to your iPhone at the top of the screen.
3. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted, then tap Sign In.
4. Tap Use your Apple ID for FaceTime, if prompted.
5. Tap Use your Apple ID for iMessage, if prompted.
6.Tap Merge if prompted to merge contacts with an icloud account Otherwise, tap Don’t Merge.
7. Select the security questions that you want to answer and tap next when finished
Tap next.
Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iCloud, Messages, the Apple Online Store, FaceTime, and more. It includes the email address and password that you use to sign in, as well as all the contact, payment, and security details that you’ll use across Apple services.
To set up your Apple ID on your iPhone, tap Settings > [your name], then tap Sign in with Apple. If you’re already signed in with an Apple ID, you’ll be asked to enter your password. Then follow the onscreen instructions.
Review the Terms and Conditions and tap Agree if you agree to them.
Before you can use your new iPhone, you need to set up an Apple ID. This is the account that you will use to access all Apple services, including the App Store, iCloud, iMessage, the Apple Online Store, FaceTime, and more.
If you already have an Apple ID
If you already have an Apple ID from using another Apple product such as an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, you can use that same account to sign in to your new iPhone.
1. On your new iPhone, open the Settings app and tap Sign in to your [device].
2. Enter the Apple ID and password that you use with other Apple products. If you don’t have an Apple ID yet, tap Create New Apple ID and follow the instructions on the screen.
3. When prompted for your security information, enter a phone number or recovery email address where you can be reached if you ever lose access to your account. If you don’t have either of these set up yet, tap Skip this Step. You can add this information later from your device’s Settings app or online at appleid.apple.com.
4. Tap Next and read the Terms and Conditions before tapping Agree if you agree to them.*
5. Tap Agree twice to confirm.*
6. Set up iCloud Keychain if prompted.* This step is only required if you want to use iCloud Keychain to store your passwords and credit card information in iCloud for easy access on all of your devices.* If prompted for a payment method, either enter your credit card information or tap None.* You won’t be charged for any purchases that you make in iTunes or the App Store while using this payment method.* You can add a payment method later from your device’s Settings app or online at appleid.apple.com.*
7. When asked if you want to enable Find My [device], tap Allow or Don’t Allow*. This step is only required if you want to be able to find your device if it’s lost or stolen.* You can enable this later from your device’s Settings app.*
Tap next.
On the iPhone, open the Settings app and scroll down to find and tap on iTunes & App Store. On that screen, tap on your existing Apple ID at the top, then tap Sign Out at the bottom. You’ll be prompted to enter your password; enter it and then tap Sign Out again to confirm.
Tap next.
When you finish the steps in this article, you’ll have an Apple ID that you can use to sign in to Apple services like the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more.

If you don’t want to use this email address as your Apple ID username, tap Use different email under “Your current email address.” You can also tap Forgot password if you forgot the password for an existing Apple ID account that uses this email address.
9-10-11:Type a password that you want to use for your new Apple ID account and tap Next used double-alphanumeric passwords with at least 8 characters), then enter it again when prompted and tap Next > By tapping Sign In With Your [Device], Third-Party Terms of Use apply > Agree > Continue with Facebook or Continue with Google (Note: You can also choose Create a Free iCloud Email Address).
Tap merge if you want to merge your data with an existing iCloud account.
You can set up an Apple ID on your iPhone if you don’t have one. An Apple ID is required to use iCloud and other Apple services. You can create an Apple ID using an existing email address or by creating a new iCloud address.
If you already have an iCloud account, you can log in with your existing Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create one when you set up your iPhone.
When you set up your iPhone, you’ll be asked if you want to use iCloud. If you choose to use iCloud, you’ll be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple ID, tap Create a new Apple ID and follow the instructions.
Tap next.
You will now be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create one by tapping “Create new Apple ID” at the bottom of the sign in page.
Enter your first and last name, email address, password, and date of birth. Once you’ve filled out all of the required fields, tap “Next.”
Tap Done.
You’ve just completed the process of setting up your very own Apple ID. This allowsyou to access all of Apple’s services, including the App Store, iCloud, and iTunes.
