This feature allows you to set a goal for the number of calories you want to burn, the distance you want to walk, or the amount of time you want to be active. You can also set a “Move Goal” which is based on the number of steps you take throughout the day.

Why Set Activity Goals?
The Health app on your iPhone gives you an easy-to-read overview of your health and fitness activity, including movements, exercises, and standing hours. But if you want a little more motivation to get up and move, or if you want to keep track of your fitness progress over time, you can set activity goals on your iPhone and see them reflected on apple watch
There are a few different ways that you can set activity goals on your Apple Watch. You can set general calorie-burning goals, or more specific goals for walking, running, or using the built-workout app You can also use the Health app to set goals for stand hours and moving minutes, which are two other metrics tracked by the Activity app.
How to Set Activity Goals
Your Apple Watch can help you meet your fitness goals. To get started, open the Activity app on your iPhone. Tap watch tab then tap Health Profile. Tap Edit, then tap the plus sign next to Activity Goals.

There are a few different ways to set activity goals on your Apple Watch. You can do it from watch app on your iPhone, or directly from your Apple Watch.
If you want to change your goals, or see how close you are to achieving them, the best place to do that is on your iPhone.
To change your goals, or see your progress:
1. Open the Activity app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the Summary tab, then tap __ goal.
3. To change your goal, tap Edit, then enter a new number of calories, minutes of exercise, or hours of standing that you want to achieve. You can also tap Challenge Friends and send them a goal challenge.
Tap the Goals tab
On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then tap the My Watch tab. Scroll down, then tap Activity. Under Move, tap to set your daily calorie goal.
Under Exercise, tap to set your daily exercise goal. You can choose from 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or no limit. If you don’t want to be bothered by reminders to move, tap Ignore Reminders.
Under Stand, tap to set how often you want to stand up each day.

Now that you’ve got some activity results to show for your efforts, might want to set some goals to spurred you on to do even better. Here’s how!
1. Open the Health app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the Summary tab, then tap the Show More link under the Apple Watch section.
3. Scroll down and tap Edit in the top-right corner.
4 .Tap the red minus button next to a goal to delete it, or tap Add Goal to set up a new one.
5 .When you’re done, tap Done in the top-right corner.
Use the slider to choose your calorie, exercise, and standing goals
The Activity app on your iPhone gives you the ability to monitor your activity and fitness levels, set goals, and see your progress over time. And with the new Apple Watch, you can now see your activity and fitness data directly on your wrist.
To set your activity goals on your iPhone, open the Activity app and tap on the “My Watch” tab. From here, scroll down to the “Move” section and tap on “Edit.” Here, you’ll see three different options for setting goals: active calories, exercise minutes, and stand hours.
Active calories refer to the number of calories you burn in a day through all of your activity, including both intentional exercise and everyday activities like walking around or doing housework. Exercise minutes is the amount of time you spend actively exercising in a day. And stand hours refers to the number of hours in a day that you stand up and move around for at least one minute.
You can set different goals for each of these three categories, or you can choose to have the same goal for all three. To do this, simply use the slider next to each category to adjust your goal. If you want to see more detailed information about each category, tap on the “i” icon next to it.
Once you’ve set your goals, they will be synced with your Apple Watch so that you can view them at any time. To do this, open the Activity app on your watch and swipe up to view your progress for the day. Here, you’ll see how close you are to meeting your active calorie, exercise minutes, and stand hours goals.
Tap Save in the top-right corner when you’re finished
You’ve just completed your workout and you’re feeling great. But what’s next? Make sure your effort isn’t for nothing by setting an activity goal on your Apple Watch.
Open the Activity app on your Apple Watch.
Tap the Rings tab.
Swipe up to see your activity history, then tap Add Goal.
Under Move, select a goal that’s right for you. If you don’t see a goal that you like, tap Customize Goal, then enter the number of calories, minutes of exercise, or hours of standing that you want to achieve each day.
Tap Save in the top-right corner when you’re finished.
