How to Send Money with Apple Pay

You use apple pay to send money to friends and family right from your iPhone or iPad. Here’s how!

Open the Messages app start a new conversation, or go to an existing conversation.

Tap apple pay button , then tap Pay. Or, tap , then tap .

Enter the amount you want to send.

Tap Pay, then tap the send button . If you have Touch ID set up, place your finger on Touch ID. might need to enter your passcode.

Tap the Apple Pay button . If you don’t see the Apple Pay button, tap .

Open the Messages app, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.

Enter the amount you want to send, then tap Pay.

Tap the send button . If you use Apple Cash1, your payment is sent automatically and you don’t need to do anything else. Otherwise, follow the instructions on your screen to choose a funding source and confirm your payment.

Assuming you already have Apple Pay setup, open the Messages app and start a new conversation or tap on an existing one. Then, tap on the Apple Pay button (it looks like a white “A” in a green circle) and select the amount you want to send. You can also tap on the “+” button to add a note. When you’re ready to send, tap on the blue “Send” button.

If you have an iPhone 6 or later, you can use Siri to send payments. Just ask Siri to “Send a payment of $xx to John Smith.” Learn more about using Siri to pay someone.

Confirm your payment with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

Open the Messages app, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.

Enter the amount you want to send. If you’d like, tap the upward arrow to see other options like adding a memo or requesting money.

Tap Pay, then tap the send button .
