Open the Messages app start a new conversation, or go to an existing conversation.
In a new conversation, type the contact name or phone number at the top of the screen. If you have multiple Apple devices, you can also tapping the + icon to start a new group message.
In an existing conversation, tap , then tap .
Tap Continue, then choose how you want to pay and receive payments with Apple Pay. Tap Next, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
If you’using apple pay for the first time, you might need to add your credit or debit card. Tap the plus sign .
Enter your card information or, if you’re using iPhone X or later, use Face ID or Touch ID. You might need to provide additional information to verify your card.
Tap next. Then review the Terms and Conditions and tap Agree.
Once you’ve set up Apple Pay on your device, you can use it to send and receive money with friends and family right in the Messages app. Just open a conversation, tap , then tap Apple Pay. If you don’t see the Apple Pay button, tap first.
To send money, enter an amount, then tap Pay. You can pay with either your default card or another card that you set up in Wallet. If asked, enter the U.S. Security Code from the back of your card and tap Next.
You might be asked to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. After you confirm the payment, it will be sent immediately*. You can check the status of your payment inMessages by tapping . If you accidentally sent money to the wrong person, you can cancel a payment within 15 minutes of sending it:
-Open Wallet and tap on your passcode at the top right of the screen
-Under Transaction History,find the payment and tap Cancel Payment

If you don’t see an option to pay someone with Apple Pay, make sure that you have set up Apple Pay on your iPhone or iPad and that you have a credit or debit card in Wallet.
