How to See How Many Steps You’ve Taken on Your Apple Watch

apple watch has a built-in pedometer that uses the Watch’s Accelerometer to estimate the number of steps you take.

Open the Health app.

Open the Health app on your iPhone. The Health app icon is a white flower on a light-green background. If you can’find the Health app, swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center, then tap the Health app icon (it looks like a white flower).

Tap the Summary tab.

Open the Activity app on apple watch You should see three rings at the bottom of the screen. The innermost ring is for Move, which tracks your active calorie burn. The middle ring is for Exercise, which tracks dedicated workouts, and the outermost ring is for Stand, which tracks how often you stand up and move around throughout the day.

Tap the Summary tab. This is the tab with the clock icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Doing so takes you to a page that shows your progress for the current day.

Scroll down to find your step count. Your step count is displayed beneath the “Move” section heading near the middle of the page.

Scroll down to the Move section.

On your iPhone, open the Health app and tap the Today tab. Scroll down to the Move section. If you don’t see Move, tap Show More.

You can see how many steps you’ve taken today, how far you’ve walked, and how many flights of stairs you’ve climbed.

Your step count for the current day is displayed.

apple watch uses the built-in pedometer to track your steps throughout the day. Here’s how to check your step count on your watch:

1. Open the Activity app on your watch.
2. Scroll down to see your step count for the current day.

You can also check your step count for previous days by tapping the History tab, then tapping a specific day.
