How to Reset Your Apple ID

If you’ve forgotten apple id password or need to change it, follow these steps. If you have an iPhone, iPad, ipod touch with iOS 10.3 or later, you can use the Settings app to sign out of your Apple ID.

Open the Settings app.

Apple ID’s can be reset in the Settings app on your iPhone. This will allow you to change your password and security questions.

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap “iCloud.”
3. Tap “Reset your Apple ID.”
4. Enter the email address associated with your Apple ID.
5. Tap “Send.”
6. Check your email for a link to reset your Apple ID.
7. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your Apple ID.

Tap Sign in to your [device].

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can look it up.

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Sign in to your [device].
3. Enter the Apple ID that you want to use, then tap Next and enter the password for that Apple ID.

Tap Forgot Apple ID or password.

If you forgot your Apple ID or password, you can reset it from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. If you’re just trying to sign into iCloud, iTunes Store, or App Store, and don’t want to reset your password, you can try changing it.

Reset your password
Go to iforgot.apple.com.
Enter your Apple ID.
Choose the option to reset your password.
Follow the onscreen instructions. If you use two-factor authentication with your Apple ID that’s an iCloud-connected device with iOS 9 or later, two-factor authentication with your Apple ID that’s an iCloud-connected device with iOS 9 or later,, or two-factor authentication that’s set up for security reasons as an alternate Apple ID* on devices that aren’t connected to iCloud and can’t receive verification codes—such as iWork for iCloud documents—you need question and answer security questions.* You’ll see a message asking when you changed this information after you select Security Questions and enter new question and answer options; tap Continue to verify the date of change is correct before proceeding.* You might be asked other questions based on information in your account–for example,, date of birth* or the last four digits of a credit card number.* Tap Next until you see the message “You’ve successfully reset your password.” Or choose answer security questions.* Enter a new password and verify it. Tap Done in Settings when finished.

Tap “Look it up.”

Need to reset your Apple ID password? If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

If you’re signed in to iCloud and have a passcode enabled, you can use two-factor authentication to reset your password. If you don’t have two-factor authentication enabled and can’t remember your password, you’ll need to visit an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider, contact apple support

If you’re using an iPhone 6s or later, and find yourself locked out of your device because you forgot your passcode, you can use Touch ID to reset it without losing any of your data. Here’s how:

1. Enter the wrong passcode six times in a row.
2. On the seventh time, you’ll see a message that says “iPhone is disabled.”
3. Underneath the message, there will be a button that says “Try again in 1 minute” and another button that says “Try again in 5 minutes.” Do not tap either button!
4. On the eighth attempt, you’ll see a message that says “Try again in 5 minutes.” Again, do not tap this button!
5. On the ninth attempt, you’ll see a message that says “Try again in 5 minutes.” Ignore this message and keep holding down the Home button.
6. After a few seconds (10-15), you should see the Connect to iTunes screen appear on your device. You can now release the Home button.

Enter your first and last name, then tap Next.

If you can’t remember apple id password you can reset it from Apple’s website. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can also reset your password from your iPhone or iPad.

To reset your password from Apple’s website:

1. Go to appleid.apple.com and click “Forgot your Apple ID or password?”

2. Enter your first and last name, then click “Next.”

3. Enter your email address, then click “Continue.”

4. If you have multiple Apple IDs, select the one that you want to reset, then click “Continue.”

5. Click “Send Verification Email.”

6. Check your email for a message from Apple with the subject “How to reset apple id password

7. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.

Enter the email address you use as your Apple ID, then tap Next.

On the next screen, enter the email address you use as your Apple ID, then tap Next. On the following screen, tap Forgot password? You’ll be taken to Apple’s website. From here, enter your Apple ID and choose the option to reset your password by email. If you don’t have access to your email address or you can’t reset your password, you can try changing it on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.

If you have multiple Apple IDs, tap “Use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes?” and enter the Apple ID that you want to use.

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can look it up.

If you have multiple Apple IDs, tap “Use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes?” and enter the Apple ID that you want to use.

If you forgot your password, you can reset it.

Tap Next.

Reset your Apple ID password
with these instructions. If you can’t reset apple id password you can click “Forgot Apple ID” on the sign in page to reset it with your email address.

Tap Next.

Tap “Don’t have an Apple ID?”

If you see the message “Don’t have an Apple ID?” tap it, then tap Forgot password.

If you’re asked to enter your Apple ID, click “If you forgot your Apple ID”, then enter your first and last name.

Tap Continue. If you have a rescue email address, you’ll be able to choose to reset your password with email. If not, you’ll need to answer security questions.

It’s easy to forget your Apple ID password, especially if you haven’t used it in a while. If you’ve forgotten your password, there’s no need to worry. You can reset it quickly and easily. Here’s how:

1. Tap Forgot your password? on the Sign In screen.
2. Enter the Apple ID that you want to reset.
3. Tap Continue.
4. If you have multiple devices, choose the device that you want to use to reset your password.
5. Choose one of the options to reset your password:
– Send a reset link to your primary email address: Allows you toreset your password by clicking a link in an email from Apple.
– Answer security questions: Requires that you have set up security questions for your account.*
– Get an email: Sends an email with instructions toreset your password.*
6. Follow the instructions on the screen until you see the message “Your password has been reset.”

Tap “Reset your password.”

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch; or on a Mac or PC.

Open the Apple ID account page:

– On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Tap Settings > [your name] > Password & Security.
– On a Mac: Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click iCloud. Click Account Details.
– On a PC: Open iCloud for Windows and click Account details. If you’re using macOS 10.15 or earlier, open iTunes for Windows, then click Account > View My Account. If you don’t see View My Account in iTunes for Windows,contact apple support

Tap “Reset your password.” Enter your Apple ID and tap Next. Tap “Forgot password?”
You’ll see one of these messages depending on how you set up your security questions:

-“If you remember your answers to your security questions”: Follow the instructions on the screen to answer two of your security questions and reset your password. You might see additional instructions depending on when you set up your questions and what device you’re using.-“If someone already set up security questions for this account”: Tap “Try again,-“if these are not my security questions”: Follow the instructions on the screen to change them and choose new ones.”
– “Get started” if this is a new account that doesn’t have any security questions set yet: Follow the instructions on the screen to create new ones and choose answers.”

Enter your Apple ID, then tap Next.

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can look it up. Just enter your first and last name, then tap Look up.

Enter the verification code that’s sent to your primary email address, then tap Next. If you don’t receive a verification code, tap Didn’t Get a Code or Try Another Email.

Choose how to reset your password:
– Get an email: An email with instructions is sent to your primary email address.
– Answer security questions: Choose from a list of questions and enter the answers you provided when you set up your Apple ID.
– Send a message to Apple Support: After you enter your Apple ID, you can talk to an Apple Advisor by clicking the Get Started button.

Tap “Don’t have an Apple ID?”

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can reset it using the Apple ID account page.

Tap “Don’t have an Apple ID?” on the Apple ID account page.
Enter your first name, last name, and email address.
Tap “Next.”
Follow the instructions on the screen to verify your identity.

Tap “Create a new Apple ID.”

You can reset your Apple ID password by going to iforgot.apple.com or by contacting Apple Support and verifying your identity.

If you’ve tried all of the above and you’re still having trouble, you may need to create a new Apple ID.

Enter your name and birthday, then tap Next.

On the Apple ID account page, enter your name and birthday, then tap Next. Choose how to reset your password:

-Get an email: Tap [next], then enter the email address associated with your Apple ID. If you don’t have access to your email address, you can try using your security questions to reset your password.
-Answer security questions: If you’ve previously set up security questions, you can answer them to reset your password. If you don’t remember your answers, or if you never set up security questions, tap “Forgot all my questions.” You can use another email address to reset your password if you have multiple Apple IDs.
-Get a verification code on a trusted device or phone number: You need at least one verification code to sign in and set a new password for your account. A verification code is a six-digit number that appears onscreen. Tap Get Started, then enter the phone number where you want the verification code sent. If there’s no trusted iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch available, or if you don’t have access to a phone number that can receive SMS messages or phone calls, tap “Forgot all my Trusted Devices.”

Enter your email address, then tap Next.

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can look it up. Just enter your full name and email address below, then click Find My Apple ID.

We’ll send instructions to the email address associated with your Apple ID.

Enter a password, then tap Next.

You can reset your Apple ID password from Apple’s website, or you can use your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to reset it.

If you forgot your password and you’re using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 10.3 or later:
-Tap Settings > [your name].
-Tap Password & Security.
-Tap Change Password.
-Enter your current password or device passcode, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Tap Change or Change Password.
If you’re signed into iCloud and have a security code set up, you’ll be prompted for the code.

Select a security question, then enter an answer.

Apple ID’s associated with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com email addresses can’t be reset using the web browser method. Instead, you’ll need to use the Apple ID account page, which is only available from an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that has Safari 6 or later installed.

If you’re using two-factor authentication or two-step verification
When you see the message that says your Apple ID is being used to sign in to a device near , Ignore or Don’t Allow. If you enter your password, verification codes from your trusted devices, or Recovery Key, and you still see this message, it might be because your account is currently being used by another device in a different location. In this case, wait 24 hours and try again.

Tap Next.

If you forgot your Apple ID password, you can reset it from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC.

On your iOS device:

1. Tap Settings > [your name].
2. Tap Password & Security.
3. Tap Edit to the right of Change Password.
4. Enter your current password or device passcode, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Tap Change or Change Password. When you change your password, you might be asked to enter additional security information.”

Tap “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.”

You will be forwarded to the Terms and Conditions page where you will be prompted to read and agree to the terms.

By tapping “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions” you are indicating that you have read and agree to the terms. You must agree to the terms in order to reset your Apple ID.

Tap Agree.

If you’re having trouble signing in with your Apple ID, you can reset your password to get back in to your account. Just enter the email address you use to sign in to Apple ID, then tap Forgot password. We’ll send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

Enter the verification code, then tap Next.

If you’re asked to enter your Apple ID verification code, it means that we need to make sure that you own the Apple ID. We’ll send you a verification code on your primary email address or phone number. If you don’t have access to any of your trusted devices or can’t receive a verification code, you can request a verification code from a trusted contact.

Tap Done.

If you forget your Apple ID, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

If you’re asked to enter your Apple ID for a second time, make sure that you enter the same Apple ID that you used to sign in to the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. If you use iCloud, sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
