How to Reset Your Apple Watch Without a Password

If you forgot apple watch passcode, or if a message says that apple watch is disabled, follow these steps to remove your passcode.

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
Tap General.
Tap Reset.
Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

Tap General > Reset.

If you’re selling or giving away your Apple Watch, you need to unpair it from your iPhone. If you have a passcode set, you also need to disable Activation Lock.

Here’s how:

Tap General > Reset.
If you turned on Find My iPhone, tap Erase All Content and Settings. If you didn’t turn on Find My iPhone, tap Reset All Settings.
Enter apple id password and tap Erase [device]. If you can’t remember your password, tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions.

Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

If you can’t remember your passcode, you’ll need to erase your Apple Watch, which deletes all of your data and settings, including your passcode.

1. On your iPhone, open the watch app
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
3. You might be asked to enter apple id password to disable Activation Lock and erase your content. If you’re asked for a passcode and don’t know it, see “What to do if you forget your Apple Watch passcode.”
4. Tap Erase All to confirm.

Enter apple id password if prompted.

If you’re prompted for your Apple ID password, type it in. Otherwise, you might see a message that says “Enter the passcode on your Apple Watch.” If you see this message, it means that you didn’t turn off Find My Apple Watch before you started the reset process. To finish resetting your Apple Watch, you need to enter the passcode on your Apple Watch.

Tap Erase All.

To reset your Apple Watch, open the Settings app and tap General > Reset.

Tap Erase All to erase the contents of your Apple Watch. This will also disable Activation Lock, so you’ll be able to use your Apple Watch with another iPhone.

If you can’t remember your Apple Watch passcode, you’ll need to erase your Apple Watch start over.
