How to Reset Your Apple Watch Series 3

If you’re having trouble with your Series apple watch you can try resetting it to see if that helps. Here’s how!

Open the Settings app on your iPhone

If you need to reset apple watch because it’s having performance issues, or you want to sell it, you factory reset it. Here’s how.

Before doing anything, you should unpair your watch from your iPhone. This will back up your data to your iPhone automatically.

To unpair, open the watch app on your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen. Scroll down and tapUnpair Apple Watch.

Once your watch is unpaired, you’re ready to factory reset it.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, then tap General -> Reset at the bottom of the screen. On the Reset screen, tapErase All Content and Settings. You’ll need to enter your passcode to continue.

Then just confirm that you want to erase everything on your watch by tappingErase All again. Your Apple Watch will restart and take a few minutes to set up as new.

On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset. Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then enter apple id password.

If you turned on Find My iPhone, you might need to enter apple id password again. For help, see the Apple Support article If you forgot your Apple ID password.

Tap Erase everything in the popup window, then tap Erase Now to confirm. After the process completes, set up your Apple Watch again

Tap Reset

1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset.
3. Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then enter your passcode if prompted.
4. Tap Erase All to confirm.

If you need start fresh with your Apple Watch, you can erase all of its content and settings. This will delete everything stored on your watch, including your apps, preferences, and data. It will also unpair your watch from your iPhone.

Before you erase your watch, be sure to back it up. You can do this by opening the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and tapping “My Watch.” Then, tap “General,” followed by “Backup.” Tap “Back Up Now” to create a backup of your watch’s data. Once you’ve backed up your watch, follow the steps below to reset it:

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap General.
3. Scroll down and tap Reset.
4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
5. Enter your passcode if prompted.
6. Tap Erase Everything to confirm that you want to delete all of the content and data from your watch

Enter your passcode

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Tap Passcode. If you have a passcode set, you’re asked to enter it.

Tap Change Passcode, then tap Continue. If you don’t have a passcode set, tap Turn Passcode On.

Enter a new passcode, then enter it again to verify. Tap Done.

Tap Erase All

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap General > Reset.
3. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
4. For extra security, enter your Apple ID password.
5. Tap Erase All.

If you’re selling or giving away your Apple Watch, you need to unpair it from your iPhone. This will remove all of your personal information, settings, and apps from the watch, and return it to its factory default settings.
