How to Start Again
If you’ve decided that you want to reset your Apple Watch and start again, there are a few things you need to do. First, you’ll need to unpair your watch from your iPhone. Once that’s done, you can reset your watch. Here’s how to do it.
Set up your Apple Watch
When you first set up your Apple Watch, you’re asked to choose between setting it up as a new watch or restoring from a backup. If you have an iPhone with a passcode, we recommend that you set up your watch as new. Otherwise, restoring from a backup might not work.
If you accidentally picked the wrong option or want to start over, you can restart the setup process by erasing your watch:
1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
3. For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you keep your plan, your content and settings won’t be erased.
4. Tap Erase Everything twice to confirm.
5. wait for the process to finish, then set up your Apple Watch again
Pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone
If you’re setting up your Apple Watch for the first time, or you’ve unpaired it from your iPhone and you want to pair it again, follow these steps:
1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
2.tap start pairing then bring your Apple Watch close to your iPhone. If you’re asked to enter a passcode on your Apple Watch, enter the passcode on your iPhone. If you don’t have a passcode, tap Passcode Options, then tap Don’t Have a Passcode.
3. Wait for an animation to appear on your iPhone, then hold the display of your Apple Watch close to the display of your iPhone. When you see the “Apple Watch is paired” message, tap Continue. If you can’t pair or activate because you see a message that says “Invalid SIM,” contact your carrier.
4. Tap Set Up for [Your Name].
5-> Choose whether to restore from an existing backup or set up as a new watch (see below).
7-> Follow the instructions that appear on your iPhone and on your Apple Watch.
Download apps from the App Store
If you want to start again with a fresh start, you can delete all of the data and settings on your Apple Watch and start over. This will also delete any apps that you’ve installed, so you’ll need to download them again from the App Store.
To do this, open the Settings app on your Apple Watch and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Customize your watch face
If you want to start again with a clean slate, you can reset your Apple Watch and start from scratch. But before you do that, might want to customize your watch face so it’s just the way you like it.
You can add or remove complications, change the colors, and even choose a different watch face. And if you have an Apple Watch Series 4 or later, you can add multiple watch faces and switch between them.
Set up notifications
There are two ways to set up notifications for your Apple Watch: through the Watch app on your iPhone, or through the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
If you want to be able to see your notifications on your Apple Watch, you need to turn on the Show Alerts switch. This will show a notification banner with a message and/or play a sound when you receive a notification.
To do this, open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap Notifications. Tap the switch next to Show Alerts to turn it on.
If you want to be able to see previews of your notifications on your Apple Watch, you need to turn on the Show Previews switch. This will show the first few lines of a message or email, for example.
To do this, open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap Notifications. Tap the switch next to Show Previews to turn it on.
Use Siri on your Apple Watch
Siri is likely one of the first things you’ll want to try out on your new Apple Watch. To activate Siri, just press and hold down the Digital Crown until you see the Siri waveform. You can also say “Hey, Siri” if you have that feature enabled. Once you’re talking to Siri, you can ask her to do things like set alarms, add reminders, send messages, give directions, and more. If you’re not sure what to ask Siri, just say “What can you do?” For a full list of things Siri can help with, check out Apple’s support page.
