How to Reset Your Apple Watch

Can’t figure out how to reset your Apple Watch? Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone

On your iPhone, open apple watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then scroll down and tap General > Reset. Choose one of the options:

-Erase all content and settings: To completely reset your watch to its factory settings and remove all your personal information, tap Erase all content and settings. After you confirm, all your data and settings are erased from both apple watch and iPhone. If you turn off Find My iPhone before you erase all content and settings on your watch, you won’t be able to locate it afterwards.
-Reset: To reset your watch without erasing your data or removing your passcode, tap Reset.
-Unpair: Unpairing deletes all data from your watch and returns it to its factory settings. After you unpair, you can pair it with a new iPhone or restore it from a backup.

Tap General

If you need to reset your Apple Watch, follow these steps:

1. Tap General.
2. Scroll down and tap Reset.
3. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
4. If you’ve turned on Activation Lock, enter apple id password.
5. Tap Erase Watch.

start you’ll need to put your watch on its charger and make sure that it has at least a 50 percent charge. Once it’s charged, open the Settings app on your watch and tap General -> Reset.

On the Reset screen, you’ll see three different options: Erase All Content and Settings, Reset Network Settings, and Reset Keyboard Settings. The first option is what you’ll want to select; it will erase everything from your watch and start fresh.

Once you’ve selected Erase All Content and Settings, you’ll be given one last chance to change your mind. If you’re sure you want to proceed, tap the Erase all button at the bottom of the screen.

Your watch will reboot and take several minutes to erase everything and restart. Once it’s finished, you’ll be greeted with the same Welcome screen that you saw when you first set up your watch. Follow the prompts to finish setting up your device.

Tap Erase All Content and Settings

This will erase everything from your watch and restore it to factory settings.

1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
2. Drag the slider to turn off your watch.
3. Press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.
4. When your watch turns back on, go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.
5. Enter apple id password then tap Erase All to confirm.

Enter your Apple ID password

If you have an Apple Watch with cellular, you need to enter apple id password to disable Activation Lock.

If you turned on Find My iPhone on your Apple Watch, you need to enter apple id password to turn it off.

Tap Erase All

If you need to start fresh, use Erase All to remove everything from your watch:
-Open the Settings app on your watch.
-Tap General > Reset.
-Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
