How-To Geek tells you how to rename apple tv to make it easier to identify on your network.
Checkout this video:
Open settings app on your Apple TV.
In settings app select Accounts.
Under Home Sharing, select your account.
Enter the new name for your Apple TV in the Name field, then select Done.
Select System > About.
On the main menu, select System.
About halfway down the screen, select About.
At the top of the About screen, next to where it says Name, select the edit button .
A keyboard will appear on screen. Use the keyboard to enter the new name for apple tv then press Done on the keyboard when you’re finished.
Select Name.
Choose Settings > General > About. Select Name. Depending on whether you’re using an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) or an earlier model, do one of the following:
On an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), enter a new name.
On an Apple TV (1st generation), select a name.
Enter the new name you want for your Apple TV.
1. Open Settings on your Apple TV.
2. Select General.
3. Select About.
4. Select Name.
5. Enter the new name you want for your Apple TV, then select Done.
Select Done.
To change the name of your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > About and select Name. Enter the new name and select Done.
