If you have apple watch that’s locked with an activation lock, you can usually remove the lock by entering the proper Apple ID and password on the watch. However, if you don’t know the Apple ID or password associated with the watch, you’ll need to follow a different process to remove the lock.
Luckily, it’s still possible to remove the activation lock on your Apple Watch even if you don’t have the original owner’s information. In this article, we’ll show you how to do it.
What is Activation Lock?
Activation Lock is a security feature on all Apple devices that helps prevent someone else from using your device if it’s ever lost or stolen. When Activation Lock is turned on, your Apple ID and password are required before anyone can erase your device or turn off Find My [device] (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201365).
If you’re trying to set up a used Apple Watch that doesn’t have an activation lock, you’ll need the previous owner’s Apple ID and password to complete the process. If you don’t have this information, you’ll need to get in touch with the previous owner.
How to remove Activation Lock without Apple ID
If you have an Apple Watch that is locked with an activation lock, you can remove the lock without Apple ID. You will need to have the watch with you and be able to access it. You will also need to have the watch’s serial number.
Use a third-party service
If you don’t have access to your previous owner’icloud account or recovery key, you can try using a third-party service. There are a few companies that claim to be able to remove Activation Lock without an Apple ID or recovery key, but we can’t verify that these services actually work.
Before you use a third-party service, make sure that you’ve tried all of the other methods in this article. If you still can’t remove Activation Lock, proceed with caution and use a reputable service. We don’t endorse any specific service, but here are a few options:
Go to iCloud.com on a browser on your PC or Mac. Log in with your Apple ID. Click on “All Devices” at the top of your screen. Select the device you want to remove fromActivation Lock, then click “Remove from Account”.
If you don’t have your Apple ID or password, or you can’t unlock your Apple Watch, you can still erase your device. Follow the steps below to remove the activation lock from your Apple Watch:
1. On your paired iPhone, open watch app
2. Tap the watch tab then tap All Watches at the top of the screen.
3. Select your Apple Watch, then tap Erase all content and settings.
4. Tap again to confirm.
5. Enter apple id password if prompted, then tap Erase Everything.
