Tools You Will Need

To repair your Apple Watch, you will need the following tools:
-A Phillips head screwdriver
-A small flathead screwdriver
-A pair of tweezers

If you do not have all of these tools, you may be able to find them at a local hardware store. Follow the instructions below to repair your Apple Watch.

Take the Back Cover Off

Apple Watch is a wearable device made by Apple Inc. It has many features, including the ability to make phone calls, send receive text messages track fitness activity, and much more.

If your Apple Watch is not working properly, you may need to replace the back cover. Follow the steps below to take the back cover off of your Apple Watch.

1. Power off your Apple Watch. Press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to the right to turn off your watch.
2. Remove the band from your watch. Press the release button on the band and slide it out of the groove on the case.
3. Insert a pentalobe screwdriver into one of the holes on the back of the watch case.
4. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to loosen the screws. Do not remove the screws completely; just loosen them enough so that you can remove the back cover.
5. Carefully lift off the back cover of your watch case using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail (if you don’t have a plastic opening tool). Be careful not to lose any of the small screws that are attached tothe cover!

Take the Battery Out

If your battery is completely dead, you won’t be able to power on your Apple Watch no matter what you do. In this case, you’ll need to replace the battery.

1. First, remove the band from your Apple Watch.
2. Next, use a pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two screws next to the band connector.
3. With the screws removed, you should now be able to gently pry off the back of the watch case using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail. Be careful not to lose the small black O-ring that sits between the case and the back cover—this helps create a water-resistant seal.
4. Once the back cover is off, locate the small rectangular battery glued to the inside of the case.
5. To remove the battery, use a plastic opening tool or your fingernail to carefully pry it out of its adhesive strip. Again, be careful not to lose the small black O-ring that sits between the case and the battery—this helps create a water-resistant seal.
6 If your watch is still under warranty and you don’t feel comfortable replacing the battery yourself, you can always take it into an Apple Store or an authorized Apple service provider and they’ll do it for you free of charge (assuming there’s no other damage).

Put the Battery Back In

If your Apple Watch battery is completely drained and you can’t turn it on, you’ll need to put the battery back in. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Remove the case from the watch.
2. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the small screw in the center of the battery door.
3. Carefully peel back the battery door and remove the old battery.
4. Insert the new battery, making sure that the positive ( + ) side is facing up.
5. Replace the battery door and screw, and then put the case back on the watch.

Put the Back Cover On

To put the back cover on, hold the watch near your wrist and push the cover down into place. Make sure that the strip of adhesive lines up with the slots on the bottom edge of the watch case.

If you’re using a link bracelet or leather strap, insert the end of the strap into the groove under the bottom left corner of the watch case. Push down on the strap until you hear a click, then slide it into place.
