Turn Off the Sound
There are two ways that you can put apple watch on silent mode so that you don’t hear any incoming notifications or sounds. You can either turn off the sound completely or you can use Do Not Disturb mode.
If you want to put your watch on silent so that you don’t hear any alerts or notifications, you can do so by tapping the button to the right of “Sound.” This will turn off the sound on your watch. You can also put your watch on vibrate by tapping the button to the right of “Vibrate.”
A pop-up menu will appear with three options: Sound Off, Local File, and Remote URL. You may have to scroll to see the latter two options.
Turn Off the Haptic Feedback
If you want to put your watch on silent mode, you’ll need to turn off the haptic feedback. To do this, open the Settings app on your watch and tap the Sounds & Haptics option. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and toggle the switch next to System Haptics to the off position.
If you want to quickly mute the taps and other haptic feedback that your Apple Watch produces when you interact with it, you can do so by turning off the Haptic Feedback setting. This is a per-app setting, so you’ll need to turn it off for each app that you want to receive haptic feedback from.
If you want to quickly put your watch into silent mode, you can do so by covering the face of the watch with your palm. This will cause a pop-up menu to appear with the option to turn off the haptic feedback. Select this option and your watch will be silenced for a period of time.
If you want to put your watch on silent but don’t want to disable haptic feedback altogether, you have a couple of options. One is to simply turn off the sound:
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
2. Scroll down and tap Sound & Haptics.
3. Turn the Sound Off switch to the green “Off” position.
4. Exit the Settings app when you’re done.
Your watch will still vibrate for haptic feedback, but it will be silent otherwise.
