How to Ping Your Apple Watch

A quick and easy guide on how to ping apple watch

Open watch app on your iPhone.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone.

Tap the watch tab

Tap Emergency SOS.

Turn on the feature.

When you turn on the feature, apple watch automatically calls emergency services when you hold down the side button and wait for the countdown to finish. If you’re outside of your country or region, you might need to dial a different emergency number. To change your emergency number, tap Emergency SOS, then tap Change Emergency Number.

Tap the watch tab

In the My Watch tab, tap the People icon.

Tap the person you want to ping, then tap their contact card.

Tap Ping.

Tap General > Wake Screen.

If you can’t find apple watch you can ping it to make it emit a sound. This is useful if you’ve misplaced it somewhere in your house or office, or if it’s hidden under a pile of clothes.

To ping apple watch
1.Tap General > Wake Screen.
2.Hold your iPhone next to your Apple Watch.3.Tap Ping.

Turn on Wake Screen on Touch.

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wake Screen > choose On or Off.

If you have an Apple Watch Series 2 or 3, you can also set your watch face to turn on when you raise your wrist or tap it. On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Accessibility -> Turn on Wake Screen on Tattoo. With this feature turned on, you don’t need to press the side button orDigital Crown to see the time.

To turn off your watch face, cover the screen with your palm.

Tap the My Watch tab.

Tap the My Watch tab.

In the My Watch tab, scroll down to and tap the Friends button. You might need to tap More first.

Tap the contact you want to ping.

If you have more than one watch face with Complications, tap the Face Gallery button , then swipe left or right to find and tap the face that shows your Friends Complication. If you don’t see a Face Gallery button, tap Edit.

Tap , then turn on Allow Friends to Ping. You can also turn on Send Read Receipts.

Tap Sounds & Haptics.

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, then tap Sounds & Haptics.

Tap Custom, then tap the item that you want to change. For example, to turn off the sound when you receive a notification, tap Notification Sound and turn off the switch next to ALERT SOUND.

You can also adjust the haptic intensity by tapping on Haptic Strength and then selecting between Light, Medium, or Firm.

Under the Sound and Vibration Patterns section, tap the Ping option.

On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Sounds & Haptics. Under the Sound and Vibration Patterns section, tap the Ping option.

Tap the switch next to Ping.

When your iPhone is in range of your watch, the switch next to Ping should be green. You can then use your watch to ping your iPhone. Just open Control Center and tap the Ping switch.
