5. Tap Add Money to Apple Cash balance.
You can add money to your Apple Cash balance using the debit or prepaid cards that you have set up in Wallet:
– Your default card: This is the card that you use for Apple Pay purchases in stores, within apps, and on websites in Safari. When you set up Apple Cash, a new virtual card is created that shares the same number as your default card. If you don’t have a default card, you’re prompted to choose one when you add money to your Apple Cash balance.
– A different debit or prepaid card: Tap , then choose a card. You might need to enter the card’s security code to add money.

On your iPad:
1. Open a message thread and tap the App Store icon next to the text field . Or tap , then tap Apple Cash. If asked, sign in with your Apple ID*.
2. Enter an amount, then tap Pay at the bottom of the screen. You can also swipe left or right over options like Request and Split before tapping Pay . If this is your first using apple cash in Messages, you might need to set up Apple Cash first*.
3. Choose how you want to pay: with a debit card or Apple Pay Cash card that you have in Wallet, or with a different card that you add to Wallet for this transaction*. Tap Next, then confirm with Face ID*, Touch ID*, or your passcode*.
In stores
You can use Apple Cash to pay in stores that accept contactless payments. Just hold your iPhone apple watch near the reader with your finger on Touch ID or Face ID.
You might need to enter a passcode and sign a receipt. If you pay with Apple Cash and your device is lost or stolen, you can suspend or cancel payments.

Change your settings

To turn off automatic transfers:
1. Tap , then tap Info.
2. Turn off Automatic Transfer.
If you have a balance and turn off automatic transfers, your balance remains in Apple Cash. You can still manually transfer money to your bank account.
