- Open watch app on your new iPhone.
- Tap the watch tab
- Tap your watch at the top of the screen.
- If you’re prompted for a passcode, enter the four-digit code on your watch. If you don’t know your passcode, tap Forgot passcode, then follow the onscreen steps.
- Wait for your watch to appear in the list of available devices, then tap it.

If you’ve recently upgraded your iPhone, you may be wondering how to pair your apple watch with your new device. Luckily, the process is relatively simple and only takes a few minutes to complete.

If you’re setting up a new iPhone, you may be prompted to set up apple watch If you’re not prompted, or you’ve already set up your new iPhone, open the Watch app.
Tap “Start Pairing” on the screen that appears. You’ll be given a choice to restore from a backup start fresh.
If you’re restoring from an iCloud backup, continue with the instructions in the Watch app. If you’re starting fresh, choose “Set Up as New Apple Watch.”
Tap the watch tab
To unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen. Tap the info button next to your watch, then tap Unpair Apple Watch.
If you unpaired by accident and your watch is no longer visible in the My Watch tab, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap start pairing on your watch.
Tap your watch at the top of the screen.
If you see a “Tap to set up” message, make sure that your watch is in range of your new iPhone.
* If you don’t see the message, force-restart your watch:
For Apple Watch Series 2 and later, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, then release when you see the Apple logo.
For Apple Watch (1st generation), press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, then release when you see the Apple logo.
* After you restart your watch, keep your iPhone close by so that it can find your watch.
If you’re prompted for a passcode, enter the four-digit code on your watch. If you don’t know your passcode, tap Forgot passcode, then follow the onscreen steps.

Then wait for your watch to finish syncing. After it does, you might need to enter a different four-digit code on your watch.
Wait for your watch to appear in the list of available devices, then tap it.
If you’re setting up your first Apple Watch, wait until you finish the setup process for your iPhone before you pair your watch. Make sure that your iPhone has the latest version of iOS, and that it’s in range of your Apple Watch. Then follow these steps:
1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap Start Pairing, then continue to wait for your watch to appear in the list of available devices.
3. When your watch appears, tap it. If prompted, enter the four-digit passcode that appears on your watch.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
Tap “My Watch,” then tap “Passcode.” If you don’t have a passcode, tap “Turn Passcode On.”
Enter a passcode, then tap “Done.”
Put your watch on its charger and make sure that your iPhone is in range of your watch. If you have an LTE-enabled watch, you can also connect to a cellular network.
Tap “Start Pairing” on your iPhone.
On your watch, tap “Pair new Watch.”
Follow the onscreen instructions.
1. Open the Apple Watch app on your new iPhone.
2. Tap Start Pairing on the iPhone screen.
3. Place your Apple Watch close to your new iPhone.
4. Wait for a message on your Apple Watch that says, “Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch.”
5. Tap Continue on your Watch, tap pair new watch on your iPhone. (If you’re asked for a passcode, enter it on your Watch.)
6. Follow the instructions to finish pairing.*
