How to Pair AirPods to Apple TV

Want to know how to connect your AirPods to your Apple TV? Follow these simple steps and you’ll be listening to your favorite shows in no time.

Open settings app on your ‌Apple TV‌.

Go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth. Your ‌Apple TV‌ will begin searching for nearby Bluetooth devices.

With your ‌AirPods‌ in their case, open the lid. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until you see the white flashing light.

Your ‌AirPods‌ will appear under Other Devices on your ‌Apple TV‌. Select them to pair them to your ‌Apple TV‌.

Select Remotes and Devices.

On apple tv 4K apple tv hd go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth.

With apple tv remote select your AirPods in the list of devices.

If you have difficulty finding your AirPods, make sure that your AirPods are turned on and in range of apple tv might need to put them in their case to turn them on.

Select Bluetooth.

Select Bluetooth in Settings > Devices. If you don’t see Bluetooth, start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and turn on Bluetooth. Select your AirPods from the Devices list and then select Connect.

If you can’t connect your AirPods, make sure that your AirPods are charged and that you’re within range of your Apple TV. If you still can’t connect, follow these steps:

-Put your AirPods into their case.
-Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for at least 15 seconds. The status light should flash white a few times, then pulse orange to indicate that your AirPods are in discovery mode.
-On your Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth.
-Select your AirPods from the Devices list and then select Connect.

Put your ‌AirPods‌ in their case—lid open—and hold the button on the back until the light flashes white.

Make sure that your ‌Apple TV‌ 4K or HDR is plugged into a power outlet and your television.

On your ‌Apple TV‌ 4K or HDR, go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth. Your ‌AirPods‌ should show up under Other Devices as “Not Paired.” Select them.

Your ‌AirPods‌ will then connect to your ‌Apple TV‌.

On your ‌Apple TV‌, select your ‌AirPods‌ in the Devices list.

If you see “Connecting” on the ‌Apple TV‌ and the ‌AirPods‌ don’t connect, make sure that your ‌AirPods‌ are charged. If you’re using the charging case, open it and then put your ‌AirPods‌ in your ears.

If you see a different device in the Devices list on your ‌Apple TV‌, it means that your ‌AirPods‌ are connected to another device. To use them with your ‌Apple TV‌, disconnect them from the other device.

If prompted, enter the four-digit code that appears on your ‌Apple TV‌.

If you’re using an ‌Apple TV‌ 4K or ‌Apple TV‌ HD, go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth. If you have an older ‌Apple TV‌, go to Settings > General > Bluetooth.

Put your ‌AirPods‌ in their case—lid open—near your ‌Apple TV‌. If you have an ‌Apple TV‌ 4K or ‌Apple TV‌ HD, a message appears asking if you want to Use Audio Accessory. Select Allow.

Your ‌AirPods‌ appear in the Devices list on your ‌Apple TV‌ as “AirPods.” Choose them to connect.
