Tired of apple watch nagging you to stand up and move around? You can add a workout manually. Here’s how!

Open workout app
If you can’t join a workout or you’re unable to track your distance, steps, or calories for a particular activity with apple watch you can add the workout manually after you complete it.
Open the Workout app.
Tap the plus sign , then tap “Add Workout.”
For indoor workouts, tap Next, then choose the type of workout.
For outdoor workouts, turn on Outdoor Walk or Outdoor Run, then wait for your watch to calculate your pace and distance. You can also swipe up on the watch face to show Activity rings, then turn the Digital Crown to scroll to an earlier time in the day and tap Add.
When you’re done, tap End.
Scroll down and tap Other.
On your iPhone, open the Health app.
Tap the Today tab, then tap your profile picture or initials.
Under the Available Data section, tap Edit.
Tap Add Data Point, then select Workouts > Other.
On apple watch open the Workout app.
Scroll down, then tap Other.
After you end your workout, apple watch gives you the option to save or discard it.
To save it, tap Continue. You can then edit the summary data, including the title of the workout, the activity type, and any tags you want to add.
Choose the activity type.
Open the Workout app.
Tap the “+” sign.
For a walk, run, or hike, swipe left or right until you select the type of workout.
For all other workouts, tap an activity type. If you don’t see the one you want, scroll to the bottom and tap Other.

If you’re going for a walk, run, or hike, choose an Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Run, or Outdoor Cycle in iOS 13 or later,* or open the Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Run, or Outdoor Cycle app on apple watch Then do any of the following:
Enter your calories burned goal, then tap Next.
If you want to add a workout to your Apple Watch but don’t want to track it using the Workout app, you can do so manually. This is useful if you want to add an activity that the Workout app doesn’t track, such as yoga, or if you prefer not to use the app for tracking.
Here’s how to manually add a workout to your Apple Watch:
1. Open the Health app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the “My Watch” tab in the bottom left corner of the screen.
3. Tap “Workouts.”
4. Tap “Add Workout.”
5. Select the type of workout you want to add.
6. Enter your calories burned goal, then tap Next.
7. Tap “Start,” then begin your workout.
8. When you’re finished, tap “End.”
Set up your distance, time, or open-ended workout, then start
When you’re finished, tap End. If you want to add details about your workout, tap the Details button . When you’re done, tap Done.
