Is apple pencil not working? Here’s how to know if your Apple Pencil is charging.

Check the LED light on the side of the Apple Pencil.
The LED light on the side of the Apple Pencil will turn orange when the pencil is charging and will turn green when the pencil is fully charged.
If the LED light is white, then your Apple Pencil is charging.
To check the charge level of your Apple Pencil, do either of the following:
With your Apple Pencil turned on and paired with your iPad, look at the widget on the Today view to see the battery percentage.
On any iPad model that supports Apple Pencil, you can check the charge level by doing one of the following:
Tap the status bar to see more information.
On iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation) and iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation), you can also see the charge level in Control Center.
If the LED light isn’t white, then your Apple Pencil needs to be charged. To charge your Apple Pencil, do either of the following:
Connect your Apple Pencil to the Lightning connector on your iPad and let it charge for a while.
Connect your Apple Pencil to a power adapter using a Lightning to USB Cable and plug it into a power outlet.
If the LED light is amber, then your Apple Pencil is not charging.
The LED light on your Apple Pencil will turn on to indicate that it is charging. If the LED light is amber, then your Apple Pencil is not charging.
