If you’re using an Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your watch up to the contactless reader. You’ll feel a tap when your payment is successful.
You can also use Apple Pay to make purchases in apps and on websites. When you see the Apple Pay button at checkout, just tap it and confirm your payment with Touch ID or Face ID. You can also use Siri to pay for things with Apple Pay by saying things like “Hey Siri, pay for my coffee with Apple Pay.”

To use Apple Pay in stores, you need an iPhone 6 or later with iOS 11.1 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 1 or later with watchOS 4.2 or later. You also need to have a credit or debit card from a participating bank or card issuer on file in the Wallet app. Just add your card to Wallet and use it where you see either the Apple Pay or contactless payment symbols. If you’re paying in a store and you see “Accepts Apple Pay,” hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID.
You might need to sign a receipt, but depending on your bank or card issuer, you might not need to enter a PIN.
When paying within apps and on the web with Safari, look for the Apple Pay button or choose Apple Pay as your payment method at checkout. To pay, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID, or double-click the side button and hold it near the reader. You might need to sign a receipt but depending on your bank or card issuer, you might not need to enter a PIN.
