You also need to have a credit or debit card from a participating bank or card issuer on file in the Wallet app. Just add your card to Wallet and use it where you see either the Apple Pay or contactless payment symbols. If you’re paying in a store and you see “Accepts Apple Pay,” hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID.
You might need to sign a receipt, but depending on your bank or card issuer, you might not need to enter a PIN.
When paying within apps and on the web with Safari, look for the Apple Pay button or choose Apple Pay as your payment method at checkout. To pay, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID, or double-click the side button and hold it near the reader. You might need to sign a receipt but depending on your bank or card issuer, you might not need to enter a PIN.
