How to Hard Reset Your Apple Watch Series 3

Before you begin

If you’re selling or trading in apple watch Series 3, you’ll need to unpair it from your iPhone. But if you’re keeping your Watch, you may want to do a complete reset so that all of your data is wiped and only the built-in apps remain.

1. Unpair your Watch from your iPhone: On your iPhone, open watch app Tap the watch tab tap general > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

2. For GPS + Cellular models, remove your SIM card: Press and hold the side button, then tap and hold on the sliders icon (). Tap the Icons key (). Use the Digital Crown to select Settings, then scroll down and tap General > About. Scroll down to the ICCID field. If needed, tap it to view the full ICCID number. Press and hold on the number to copy it.

3. Put apple watch on its charger and make sure that it has at least 50% charge.

4. When prompted on your iPhone, enter your passcode.

5. Tap Erase All to confirm that you want to erase everything on your watchOS device and its connected iOS device (after which both devices will restart).

How to hard reset your Apple Watch Series 3
