How to Free Up Space on Your Apple Watch

If you’re apple watch owner and you’re running out of space, here’s how to free some up.

Check what’s taking up the most space

apple watch will tell you how much space you have left, and you can check this in watch app on your iPhone. To do this, go to the watch tab then scroll down and tap Usage.

Once you know what’s taking up the most space, you can decide what to do next. For example, if you have a lot of photos and videos stored on your Watch, might want to delete some of them.

Delete any apps you no longer use

To check how much space an app is using:

1. Open apple watch app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the watch tab
3. Scroll to see a list of your apps, arranged by how much storage space they’re using.
4. Tap an app to see more information about its storage.*

To delete an app:

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the My Watch tab.
3. Scroll to see a list of your apps, arranged by how much storage space they’re using.
4. Tap an app, then tap Delete App.*

Offload unused apps

To free up space on your Apple Watch, you can offload unused apps. This will remove the app from your watch but keep its data so you can reinstall it later.

1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Usage > Manage Storage.
3. Tap an app, then tap Offload App.
4. Repeat this step for each app that you want to offload.

Delete old iMessages and conversations

When you delete a message, it’s permanently erased from your Apple Watch. You can’t recover deleted messages.

Open the Messages app, then tap .
Find the conversation that you want to delete, then tap it.
Tap , then tap Delete Conversation.

Delete old photos and videos

If you’ve been using your Apple Watch to take photos and videos, you may have noticed that it doesn’t have a lot of storage space. When your watch is full, you’ll need to delete some of your old photos and videos to make room for new ones.

Here’s how to delete photos and videos from your Apple Watch:

-Open the Photos app on your watch.
-Tap on the photo or video that you want to delete.
-Tap the trash can icon.
-Tap Delete to confirm.
