Check common places first

When you lose something as small as an Apple Pencil, it can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. But don’t despair! There are a few tried and true methods for finding a lost or misplaced Apple Pencil.

The first place to check is any common places where you might have left it. This could include your desk, nightstand, coffee table, or anywhere else you typically use your Apple Pencil. If you can’t find it in any of those places, the next step is to check all of the places where it could plausibly be. This could include your backpack, purse, or any other bag you might have been carrying it in.

If you still can’t find your Apple Pencil, the next step is start canvassing your house or office (if you were using it there). This means checking all of the rooms, closets, and other hiding spots where it could be. Once you’ve done that, if you still can’t find your Apple Pencil, it’s time to start thinking about where else it could be.

If you were using your Apple Pencil at a friend’s house or somewhere else outside of your home or office, try retracing your steps and see if you can remember where you were last using it. If all of these methods fail, there’s always the possibility that someone else has picked up yourApple Pencil and simply doesn’t know that it belongs to you. In that case, your best bet is to reach out to whoever has access to that place and see if they’ve seen it or know of its whereabouts.

Check less common places

-On top of or under a stack of papers
-In between the couch cushions
