Introduction

Has apple watch stopped working or gone missing? If so, don’t despair! There are a few things you can do to try to find your dead or apple watch

First, check to see if the battery is dead. If it is, then you can try charging it for a few hours to see if that revives it. If the battery is not the issue, then try restarting your Watch by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo.

If your Watch still won’t turn on or respond, then you can try using Apple’s Find My iPhone feature to locate it. This will only work if your Watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth and is within range. To use this feature, open the Find My iPhone app on your iPhone and select your Watch from the list of devices. If your Watch is nearby, you should see its location on a map.

If you’re still having no luck finding your Watch, then you can try erasing all its content and settings. This will delete everything on your Watch, so only do this as a last resort. To erase your Watch, open the Settings app on your iPhone and go to General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

We hope this guide helps you find your lost or dead Apple Watch!

Look for Your Watch on a Map

If you lose your Watch and it’s connected to your iPhone, you can find it by looking at the map.
1. Open the Find iPhone app on your iPhone.
2. Tap Devices, then tap your Watch.
3. If your Watch is nearby, it will appear on the map. You can also play a sound on your Watch to help you find it.
4. If you think your Watch is further away, tap Actions, then tap Lost Mode.

Play a Sound on Your Watch

If your watch is lost in the vicinity of where you think you left it, try playing a sound on your watch to help you find it. If your watch is not connected to your iPhone, it still might play a sound if you have Wrist Detection turned on. If you can’t see or feel your watch, keep playing the sound until you do.
To play a sound on your Apple Watch:
1. On your iPhone, open the watch app
2. Tap the watch tab then tap Sounds & Haptics.
3. Turn on Sound Effects, then turn up the volume by dragging the slider to the right.

2.Tap the watch tab then tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

Recovery Mode

If you can’t find your Apple Watch and your iPhone is nearby, you can use Find My iPhone to find your device. If Find My iPhone is turned on, you can also use it to remotely erase all the content on your Apple Watch.

Before you begin
Make sure that both your Apple Watch and iPhone are updated to the latest version of iOS, watchOS, and macOS.

Put your Apple Watch on its charger. If you don’t have a charger or if it’s not charging, put it in offline mode to preserve battery life. You can still use Find My iPhone to find a lost Apple Watch that’s not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular.

On your iPhone, open the Find My app. Tap the Devices tab, then tap your Apple Watch.
Tap Actions > Erase This [device]. Enter your password, then tap Erase [device]. All your content is erased, and you’re returned to the initial setup screen.

You can also use these steps to erase your Apple Watch when it’s in recovery mode:

Connect your iPhone to the Internet over a cellular data or Wi-Fi network. On your iPhone, open the Find My app and tap Devices. Under Actions, tap Erase [device] > Erase [device]. If asked for a password or passcode, enter it. To confirm that you want to erase all content and settings from [device], tap Erase Device again.

Conclusion

If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen, you can use the Find My iPhone app to locate it, remotely lock it, or even erase it. If you think your Watch is just misplaced, you can use the ping feature to help you find it. If your Watch is damaged or won’t turn on, you can schedule an appointment at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
