Go to iforgot.apple.com.

If you forgot apple id password or want to reset your password, you can go to iforgot.apple.com.

Enter your Apple ID, then select Continue.

Choose the type of reset you want:
-I need to reset my password
-I need to reset my security questions

Choose how to reset your password:

You can reset your Apple ID password in several ways. The method you use is based on the security questions you set up for your Apple ID, as well as the Trusted Phone Numbers you have added to your account.

If you have security questions set up for your Apple ID, you can go to Apple’s iForgot website and answer those questions to reset your password.

If you don’t have security questions set up, or if you can’t remember the answers to your questions, you can use one of your Trusted Phone Numbers to reset your password. To do this, go to Apple’s iForgot website and select “Use a Trusted Phone Number.” You’ll be given instructions on how to verify your identity using one of your Trusted Phone Numbers.

Get an email

If you forgot your Apple ID password and can’t log into your account, there are a few ways you can reset it.

The first step is to head to Apple’s iForgot website. You’ll need to enter in your Apple ID email address and then click Continue. If you don’t know your Apple ID email address, you can choose “Look it up” and enter in your first name, last name, and email address.

Once you enter in your information, Apple will send an email to the email address associated with your Apple ID account. The subject line will say “How to reset your Apple ID password.” Click on the “Reset now” button in the email and you’ll be taken to a page where you can enter in a new password.

Answer security questions

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you can’t use your trusted device or don’t have access to a computer, you can use your date of birth, security questions, and this website to reset your password.

When you set up security questions, you need to provide proof that you’re the owner of the account. This usually means providing answers to personal questions like your mother’s maiden name. If you have difficulty remembering these details, try asking a close friend or family member for help.

Enter the code from the email and choose Reset Password.

If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you’re signed in to iCloud and have a recovery key, you can use it to help you regain access to your account.*

On an iPhone, iPad, ipod touch with iOS 10.3 or later:

1. Tap Settings > [your name].
2. Tap Password & Security.
3. If asked for a six-digit code, enter the code on your trusted device. If asked for a recovery key, use the steps for two-factor authentication or two-step verification instead.*
4. Tap Change Password.
5. Enter a new password and confirm it by entering it again. Then tap Change or Change Password.
6. If you see a message that says your Apple ID is locked for security reasons, choose how to reset your password:

-If you have a rescue email address or are using two-factor authentication* or two-step verification*, choose one of those methods from the list and follow the onscreen instructions to verify your identity and reset your password:

-If you don’t see any of those options and can’t verify yourself online using all steps listed in this article,contact apple support for more help:

*Using two-factor authentication or two-step verification with an Apple ID prevents anyone from accessing or making changes to your account without both your password and access to another approved device or phone number.”

Enter your new password and choose Reset Password.

If you forgot your Apple ID password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you’re signing in with your Google account, follow these instructions instead.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap [your name], then tap Password & Security.
3. Tap Edit to the right of Change Password. If you’re using iOS 10.3 or earlier, tap Change Password.
4. Enter a new password and confirm it by entering it again in the Verify field. Then enter your current password or device passcode to continue.*
5. Tap Change or Change Password to confirm.*

On your Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later
1. Open the Apple ID app and sign in with your Apple ID.* If you don’t have the Apple ID app on your Mac, open the System Preferences app and click iCloud, then enter your Apple ID and password.*
2. Click Security > Change Password.* If asked for your device passcode or password, enter it to continue.*
3. Enter a new password and confirm it by entering it again in the Verify field.* Then enter your current password to continue*..
4. Click Change Password to confirm.* *You might be asked to answer security questions
