How to Factory Reset Your iPad Without an Apple ID

Open Settings and go to “General”

If you forgot apple id or you don’t know the password, you can still reset your iPad. Here’s how:

Open Settings and go to “General.”

Scroll down and tap “Reset.”

Tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”

Enter your passcode if prompted. If you’ve forgotten it, you’ll need to put your iPad into recovery mode. (See below.)

Tap “Erase iPad” to confirm. All your data will be erased, including pictures, documents, and app data.

Scroll to the bottom and select “Reset”

Select “Reset” near the bottom of the “General” section. You’ll find this option about halfway down the page. Doing so prompts a pop-out menu.

If you don’t see the “Reset” option here, it’s likely because you’ve never backed up your iPad to iTunes or iCloud. In this case, you’ll need to connect your iPad to a computer and follow the on-screen instructions to restore it from an iTunes or iCloud backup.[1]
